I know this is like asking how many guns you own, but I was curious what the majority here owns in mold numbers.

9mm x 1
.38/357 x 8
.45 x 6
others (RB's etc) x 7
I didn't own so many, until I started hanging around on this forum!!!!
The number is rising weekly!
Got 30+
Enough for everything I've got--except 38/357 and 7mm08---but I'm working to correct that shortcoming.
Only 6, but I'm still looking for others.
Let me see.....2 45's, 2 38's, 5 30's, 1 44... Holy cow! I own ten moulds! I didn't realize I had that many.
Like guns, one can't have to many molds.
Is this per diameter or total?
Every caliber should have at least two bullet molds, just for fun. Have way over a dozen.
I just count them using troll numbers...one, two, many......I have no idea how many but not enough. There are a few specific ones I'm still looking for and there are always "Targets-of-Opportunity".
85 or 86 IIRC.
As the saying seems to go a heckuva lot more than before I found this site..................

Your poll is way too limiting! :)
My money is on 45 2.1. I don't think anybody is as sick as he is. I only have 75 or 80, he's got more than that in Lee six hole group buy moulds, I'm sure.

Can/shall I include my fishing sinker, lure, net weight, and decoy anchor molds? How do you want them listed? Cronologically, grain wt., favorites... ?
I lost track. Some wheres around 60.
Someone once said about guns , if you know how many you have it ain't enough . With that in mind , I don't think I know how many are in the dungeon . I have managed to buy a mold I didn't think I had one of only to find another just like it later . [smilie=l:

About 120 as of today but in the last few years I've sold off way more than that. Trying to cosolidate as age catches up to me.
MLV
Holy cow! I would have guessed about 10, but when I counted them I came up with 22!
Somewhere between 65 and 75, lost count and bought a few recently that aren't
in the list yet.

Well I've owned quite a few, but I guess I don't have as much $$$ as some as I always end up trading/selling before finding a new mold. With that I have 7 molds currently, waiting on one, but have had 30 or so different molds throughout my time casting.
I'm down to around 50. Sold some I wasn't planning to use and some duplicates. Still have several I don't have guns for.
i'm not sure how many total i have most are old more on the collectors type passed down thru the family from my great grandfather on down // as to mordern ones that i use to make boolits with i would guess about 40 and have about 5 more on order waiting for them to arrive/// plus i am always on the lookout for more old moulds and reloading tools to add so that i can pass them on to the burro

Some things one doesn't need to know!
For example a quick 'head' count here in my bed room netted me 15 molds!
None of them 6 bangers!
I will now fight the urge to go count everything up for the rest of the evening.
All you guys like this need to get the duplicates out to the Swap & Sell and allow us less fortunate folks to beat ourselves silly getting to the bargains and help ourselves improve our condition (Conservative POV), or I could've said give them to those of us less fortunate to "spread the wealth around" so we can be like you (Liberal POV). Pick your poison!
.38, .40, .44, .44 and varous sinker and jig molds. Of course there are the ingot molds too....
Over 40 not counting swaging core moulds
Sadly only about 55 currently but always looking to fix this short comming.
I know of one forum member here that has over 700 moulds so the rest of us here are real light weight Johnny come latelys.
Rick
9 Total.
All for 9mm/38/357...
Three
two for the 45/70
One for the 30 cal
73
From a 45 grain .32 cal round ball to a 700 grain for the .500 S&W mag.
Ten in my first year of casting. They go from .32 up to .45, all handgun with one Ranchdog .35 Rem.
Currently only have 5 molds, some scoundrel broke into my casting shed last winter and relieved me of 10 molds. DAN
You are right, my poll was too limiting. I only meant bullet molds; each one counted separately. I started this poll b/c my fiancee was getting a little upset that I have 29 molds. I said so let us see what everybody else does. I think I have some catching up to do. The only issue is that I don't know what else I need at this point.
Look for molds for guns that you want to get. Once you have the mold, you have more incentive to get the gun.Quote:

Why would the fiancee be concerned about the number of molds you have?
You need double cavity's of your sc molds and 4 cav of your dc molds. You need a second one of hard to find obsolete ones that shoot so well in your guns you couldn't stand it if something happened to it. You need one with a different profile same weight to group just a little better.
Last count was over 15 35 cal molds and no duplicates, with a couple on the want list.
I tink I am loosin my mind.
I keep thinkin that I already answered one of these about how many molds we have!?!
There are actually two threads. One with a poll and one without.
45-2, 50-3, 58-2, 69-1, 30-1, muffin pan ingot-5, CASTBOOLITS ingot-1, fishing sinker 5, net weight 2, decoy anchors 3. Guess I'll go back and check the box. #25
