Prayers for grandson
James Declan Futrelle currently living near Jacksonville NC is in need of prayers.
He has been struggling with epileptic seizures for going on 3 years but they just got a lot worse.
He is only 8, is about half the size of his sister who is a year and 3 months younger.
I don't know what is going to happen. Its out of our hands. They moved back to NC when the covid thing hit and schools shut down. Their other grandparents are more able to help out with baby sitting.
But James is one very sick hurting little boy right now.
I'll post updates as I get them.
Thank you brothers!

Lord Jesus we come to you with a request for one you claim as yours. In your word you tell us to suffer not the little children to come unto you. Here we ask Lord that you lay your Holy healing hands on James body. He desperately needs your touch. His little body is being racked with seizures and the doctors are having a hard time learning why. We ask you Lord to bless James with relief from these seizures that are plaguing him and bless his family with your peace. Put your hand on his doctors and help them to find what needs done to relieve James ailment. We thank you Lord for your compassion and caring for us. Please grant them your grace and mercy and we give you thanks. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Well he is still suffering, and dealing with a head cold on top of it.
They are on the second medicine. First one worked but was severely effecting his mood in a bad way.
If this one does not work either they will have to find another option or go back. Sigh.
He is a sweet little boy and I suspect he is going to be dealing with this for a long long time.

Worst of it is being some 1500 miles away there is not much we can do.
Katie has made her share of mistakes over the years. When they were living close her and her husband were bringing home nearly double what Cindy and I bring in each month but were constantly needing help. Well that book is closed for now.
They need to learn to get by with what they need not what they want.
But I would not wish this trouble on anyone.
And James is a sweet good young boy. Hate to see him with such a hard row to hoe.

Prayers indeed my friend..... Added to the list. God Bless.

All any of can do is to keep praying. "Not mine but Thy will be done".
Continued prayer for young James and all you all.

Pine Baron Amen. Exactly so. The Lord has a plan, we know it not. So not my will Lord but THINE be done on earth as it is in heaven.
On the good news front, last week Cindy fell 3 times in one day, one was a full body timber backwards.
Off to urgent care, brain scan looks good, back looks good. Just sore and bruised.
Cindy is going to her Dad's memorial service in June, so she got her Covid shot last week. She chose the Johnson's, no major reaction and one and done. She continues to slowly get stronger, able to do a bit more week by week. So Praise the Lord for he is good. Sat morning I hauled 3 big baskets of laundry downstairs. As of last night it was all washed, dried, folded and put away.
Plus we made it to the eye doctor this week, her left eye jumped a LOT on nearsightedness. Causeing blurred and double vision.
That should be fixed shortly. So lots to be thankful for.

We lost our four year old granddaughter about about a year and a half ago due to increasingly serious seizures. Last month was her birthday....tough to deal with.
My step daughter still has not forgiven God. It sounds hollow to say it was part of His plan. We have asked her if we can send her son to Bible Camp this year and she is OK with that...so maybe she will come around soon.
I have learned not to pray for healing but for strength and wisdom....and to keep my faith strong.
God is there for us even when we are in the darkest of times.
