Saw 10 bulk boxes of Winchester Super X HV 22lr at the local Walmart today. 300 rounds for $40.16/box. 40grain 1280fps. I didn't buy any since I'm still shooting $2.50/box CCI SV. Still, good to see some ammo making it's way to the area.

Yes it appears things are coming back to shelves, still hard for this old man to jump on 16 cents a round 22 though.
A month or two ago I saw that same yellow box at Walmart. However I bought the same thing at Academy for $34 and change.
Disappointing that it is bulk packed I was hoping for fifty round boxes.

Walmart near me has Federal 325 packs for $21.14/ea, no limit. My buddy got 10 boxes today and said they had 40+ still on the shelf.
I just found (and left them there) about 40 boxes of CCI std velocity LR in 50 rnd boxes at WalMart. $4.45 for a box of 50.
Local Wal Mart here ( in SW Louisiana) has Federal auto match for $18.35 per box of 325, limit three per day. Not too bad, if ya need some .
Our Walmart shelves has been stocked with .22 for the last 6 months.
No one is touching it. We’re saturated.

Here in La Grange, KY, the local Walmart had the Super X Winchester HP, 300 count for $40.16. They also had a dozen boxes of Federal Auto-Match solid 40 gr. (325 rounds) for $21.16. Rod
Wal-Marts around me have none and have not had any in the last year.
We've had none in the box stores around here for a couple years. I paid $500 for a case of Eley Target a few years ago. I sure ain't gonna pay more than that for Win. bulk. Or any bulk. I'm saving my money for primers.
I picked a box of Super X Winchester Power Point, 300 count, 40 grain, 1280 fps for $40.16 in the pretty yellow box at Walmart.
And I picked up one more box of Federal Auto-Match solid 40 grain, 325 count, 1200 fps for $21.16.
There are still a few boxes of each there.
I expected it to go quicker since it has been so long since I saw any 22 ammo there.
with walmart you need to hit them up 2x per week never know when the show up
and no 1 there will tell you when
auto match are the way to go the winchester your just paying for the pretty box
I bet there's a few of you who remember the blue box with the lightning bolt on it (Federal). I used to pay .99 for 50!
My local wal*mart (hour away) has so much 22s it won't all fit in the cases.
Would that be the Amsterdam store ? Down our way it still is very spotty.
But do you remember the red and black box Federal Lightning that was before the blue box? I shot that in silhouette matches for 5 years. I'd stop in whatever town's Walmart that happened to be hosting a silhouette match and buy 5-10 bricks for $8.90/brick. We'd finish the match and any kids that wanted to shoot could get one of the competitors to loan him or her a gun and shoot till they were tired. That was about the most fun I'd have all week. And it would only cost me 89˘ a box. The stuff shot great in my contender.
I have a Western Auto red and white box with a 43 cents sticker on it! Geez I feel old again!
We can blame scarcity on Homeland Security LOL. They supposedly bought up millions of rounds saying it was supposed to be for "practice" ammo.
Yes the Amsterdam store. The newer Johnstown/Gloversville store was fully stocked up on .22s also. Amsterdam has a three box limit per person. Gloversville has a two box limit. Glenns Falls and Saratoga same thing fully stocked with Federal Winchester and CCI. I'm still on the hunt for the elusive primer.
I will also add that last week I was in Runnings in Gloversville and the case was FULL. 9mm 45acp 22s Rifle ammo up the wazzo. Prices a bit high but .22s are a dollar cheaper then Walmart and 9mm was 19.99 a box of 50. Loads of 223/5.56. Once again a two or three box limit. Bring a friend.
Who remembers these? They are not shooting that great. Attachment 297037

I have some Win Mark III that I used when shooting NRA 50' indoor. It must be 50 years old now and doesn't perform like it use to.
I honestly never liked superX much. Always been a federal guy. Just not that blue box stuff.
3 box limit here for for the Federal Auto Match, 5 or 6 left after I got my 3 @ $21.16 ea.
In Northeast US, the limits are gone You can get 20 boxes of 22 if you wanted. And some days they do have 20 boxes.
I have not had any luck finding Auto match at the local Walmarts.
Is it true that Walmart quietly started selling pistol ammo again? I haven't darkened their door since they announced they would no longer carry it a few years ago.
The folks who shoot .350 Legend, .450 Bushmaster, and 28gauge factory ammo are in luck at our Wally world. And those that want the yellow box $40/300 .22 ammo are in luck as well. And those that need $10/25 12 gauge D&Q loads, too.
Everyone else? Sorry.....

No pistol ammo at walmat. Texas by God what you say is the same here but problem is you can not afford that 350 legend ammo or 28g at my walmart. I grabbed up until the new year Legend ammo for 9 bucks a box, the same box is not 28 bucks.
Auto Match at the prices shown above is not too bad IMO.
Yes I remember and also remember the Remington 22 LR;s I bought at the local store for 30 cents and 22 Long for 25 cents! 50 of course, that was the only ones they had unless you bought the Rockets or Thunderbolts-25 to the pack- in the chewing gum packs!Attachment 297214Attachment 297215Attachment 297216
Memories when I see these.
