In my experience, lubes that I've concocted which turn out soft and smooth have always been improved by adding more "stiffening" agents. I'm just confused at this point what the best stiffening or firming agents are. It's almost counter intuitive, but it seems like the boolit lubes that should lube the best, (my lubes in my '06 test platform) usually provide the poorest accuracy and a dose of "uneven" fouling near the muzzle.
Mike, was there a contrast in barrel conditions between the good shooting lube and the not-so-good shooting lube?
