My last handgun buy was an older Auto Ordnance .45 that I bought to go with my Auto Ordnance 1927a1 sbr Thompson. Here it is in the unfinished case with it big brother. And another of the finished case with my pretty nickel 1911.
A new Ruger Convertible Blackhawk; 45 Colt/45 ACP
This AM 3 S&Ws I got on a deal showed up at FFL. Not my standard S&W interest for sure but I’m getting rid of stuff and I still have to deal. Especially when you are dealing in N frame P&Rs NIB.Attachment 267453Attachment 267453
Just picked up my 6.5" S&W model 24-3 today. Looks like it was hardly fired. Good timing and lock up. Cylinder throats are about .432" so it is near perfect for as cast with both my .44 molds. It has the appearance of a model 27 on steroids. All up it cost about what a new 29 classic does. Feels like a lucky find.

Cool old revolver there Scott.
Polish P-64...nice shooting little guy...
Magnum Research BFR in .500JRH and just before that a S&W 648 22 magnum. Been a good year.
Picked up a S&W K38 and M28-2 on Saturday
P226 Legion for $750 4 mags.

Sig P365XL and a Hidden Hybrid IWB holster for it. I don't like sub-compacts, because all my fingers never fit on the grip without an extended mag, but the XL has a long enough grip that I have good, positive control even with the mag out. Stock tritium sights. And it shoots like a Sig.
It's small and light, 12+1 in a standard mag, and conceals easily in shorts and a t-shirt (with a decent belt).
Also, if I feel like getting all tacticool with it, they come pre-cut for the Sig Romeo Zero red dot. Two set screws to swap out the rear sights for the RDS. And I think it'll still fit in my holster.
Even with a 3.7" barrel I hit 49 out of 50 in the 9 ring first try without breaking a sweat at 15 yards. That'll do.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dcae7cf500.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...76b744f256.jpg

Not sure why I waited so long to get one of these. 3 rounds at 15 yds. offhand was enough to tell it's a shooter! Only shot 3 times because all I had with me was expensive hollow points. Drifted the rear sight to the right a smidge when I got home. This was a used gun at my local store. Mag and holster coming for it today.
Everytime I look at or handle a CZ I think how ugly they are, how I hate the field strip, and on and on. I just don't want to like them.
Every one I've shot has been an absolutely great shooter, consistent, very smooth action, feeds reliably; basically everything you want in a firearm. One if my kids has one in .40S&W and it easily rivaled my Sig P226 on target.
Unfortunately, when I'm buying I'm not shooting, so I'm only thinking about the field strip, the look, etc.

CZ got the three important things right; Inherent accuracy, ergonomics and a decent trigger. Needing a bludgeon to tap out the slide stop is different but in an emergency I would just use the magazine base plate. I like the lines of a 1911 better but something this easy to shoot well cannot be discounted imho because of it's form, which I find pleasing enough. Pretty good buy at $579.
Ruger Mark II target, 5 mags and a Trasco red dot, $330 shipped. I was the only bidder due to the red dot sight. A new steel rear target sight was $40. I wasn't looking hard for a 22 but have a couple of grandkids that can learn to shoot better with a good one.
