Happy New Year Kathy;
Please put me on the list for WW or range lead when you have some ready for sale.
Thanks
Glenn
Kathy,
Please put me back on the list for clip on WW.
Thank you.
Also some range lead.
If possible you can put me down for a box of ww's as well when the time comes.
Thanks
what will the range lead go for when it is warm again?
that last WW was great stuff and clean.
If it ever gets warm again. We battle Hurricanes here so it's not fair for it to be cold too lol
Warm again? Hmmmmm I hope we have an early Spring!
Due to the recent postal rate increase and my paying more for wheel weights this month (Jan 2011), my prices have increased. Please see post #1 for pricing, which you can view by clicking on the following link:
http://www.castboolits.gunloads.com/...67&postcount=1
I previously wrote in this post that I would likely increase the price of my range lead to $49.00 for a 50+LB box delivered to one's door (assuming $10.20 flat rate did not increase this year); but there has been a postal increase, thus I have raised my prices. In regard to wheel weight lead: I have to be competitive with the scrap metal pricing here in my area (and there are a lot of scrap yards in my local area) and my customers are "educated". I have repeat business since they know I am paying them what they can fetch at one of the higher paying scrap dealers, plus they do not have to lug the buckets to the scrapyard. I pay them very top dollar for their rims (I only make a few pennies per pound) - I do this as a courtesy since I want the WW's !!! They know that I cast them ingots and I feel honesty is the best policy! A couple of weeks ago, in addition to WW's, one customer had about 20 rims stored up for me in the corner of the shop. I pressed my home-built trailer into service for that run! Loaded the rims into it, and the lead into the SUV.
Back to range lead: I have a fishing sinker company that purchases my range lead and the owner always sends me $50.00, even though I invoice him $47.00. So, I feel comfortable raising my price and it will better help me to meet my expenses, notably rent.
With kind regards to all

PM sent for 50# of range lead when u have it.
Kathie:
Please put me on your list for 3 boxes of WW ingots.
Best Regards,
Jerry
Hi to all,
Thanks for the inquiries in regard to lead; will be compiling a list of who wants what; I believe I have sent PM's to those who have made inquiries so far this year: birddog6, TNShawn, beerbeer95648, 340six, songdog53 and GLL.
It is now a matter of waiting for warm weather to arrive.
With kind regards,
~ Kathie
Hi Kathie,
If I'm not already on your list, please put me down for 2 boxes of clip-on wheel weight ingots.
Thanks.
Bill
Hi Kathie;
No PM recieved as of now per post #151.
Thanks
Glenn

Please add me to the list for wheel weights if you would. Thanks:popcorn:
Hi fellow Forum Members!
I just learned that rates for both UPS and USPS have been increased.
The USPS Medium Flat Rate Box was $10.20, and it is now $10.95. But when doing postage online, it is $10.50 and delivery confirmation is free (otherwise, it is 70 cents additional when you do the label by hand).
===> Updated 3/7/2011: please refer to the top post (#1) for pricing information - thanks. I've included the link for your convenience.

<=== end update 3/7/2011
I do try to give the best price possible, given my circumstances of having to pay rent and my expertise to cast (to the best of my ability) clean lead. For those who have written to me in regard to future orders of lead, please send me a PM if you wish no longer to be on my list. I have no control (obviously !!! :roll: for USPS price increases !!!). And I do have expenses like rent, propane, travel, my time, yada yada, so I have rounded up to the nearest dollar. And not to worry if anyone on my list changes their mind about buying my lead for I have another outlet for it (so there will be no hurt feelings). I just try to do right by everyone.
If any questions or concerns, please send me a PM.
Thanks to all.

Hi fellow forum members,
I thought I would share with you some pictures of my "new shop" area (an approx. 6 ft by 20 ft "addition" to my existing 2 bay garage/shop combo). And some pictures of the WW's that I had to sift through (about 1855 pounds total from 4 pickups from Dec. and early Jan). I ended up with 99.5 cans of WW's. Approx. 30% are stickons, and about 70% are clipons. I pressed my "cans" into service due to needing to free up my fiberglass trays for an upcoming range cleanout that has about 5000LBS of lead due to not having been cleaned in the past couple of years. I did another neighboring range last year with the same situation, and that one yielded about 5000LBS. I guess word got around about my doing the first range. Due to snow, I was not able to get to the range last week; nor do I think I will get there next week due to the forecast of more snow! The cleanout has to be done on a Tues, Wed or Thursday - and snow is forecast on Tuesday (about 1 foot, I believe). Plus, it is about 1 hour away from my house.
We have had a lot of snowfall, I believe records have been broken for the amount of snowfall in a given month. For us, this is a lot.... I am sure there are many of you who probably have this amount of snow as "the norm". The width of the roads here are narrowing! No parking on the street (I am glad I have a driveway, which is rather long, about 120 feet). << Update 6:52PM 1/29/11 To err on the side of caution, I had the carpenter who built my "new shop" clear most of my roofs of snow. There was over a foot in most areas and now I can breathe a sigh of relief since another foot is predicted for mid-next week! I am going to buy (when they come in) a Garelick roof rake that has handle extensions to reach 21 feet; this rake has wheels so as (supposedly) to not damage the roof. Others I have seen have no wheels. And last week, I was at Home Depot and they must have just gotten in a shipment prior to my arrival. I thought about buying one, but did not. They were all gone next day! And they are scarcer than Hen's Teeth now! A hardware store is going to hold one for me when they get their shipment in next week. Then I can have the carpenter come back at some point (if necessary), and clear (at the very least) where he could not reach today. I also feel that my house, porches, and garage/shop are also breathing a bit easier too!!! End update >>
When, or maybe IF, the warm weather arrives, I will be quite busy casting lead!!
Well, that's the scoop for now!
With kind regards to all,
~ Kathie :Fire:
I guess you don't have to go to the gym to lift weights!
we are getting pounded here in lovely CT!
I had to order a snowblower online!
hopefully it will eventually be warm enough for me to come down and buy some lead from you!
