Jon I found some data in the hodgdons annual manual.
it showed the cfe powder in the 250-savage under an 85 or 87 gr bullet it got to a little over 3-k.
I went with a load just under the top load [with the Ackley case that's about 6% under max]
the powder filled the case up to the shoulder in the fire-formed cases and a little ways up the shoulder on the standard once fired cases I haven't fire-formed yet.
it's a ball powder and meters perfectly I was within .1gr on 20 straight throws with only 2 of the throws varying by the .1 gr.
i'll put together a few 100gr bullet loads and try them out at some point but with all this snow we are getting going down to the range isn't gonna happen for a while.
