Woo hoo! Now that's what I like to see! I would suggest forgetting crowning (other than to recess it for protection against dings).
Dacron is great stuff and has a very small effect on pressure.

Interesting listing on Gunbroker, new Diamaco-Canada heavy barrel, good chamber, CAD-Technic scope mount, 6X Weaver, etc:

Just checked out the Diemaco heavy barrel bush gun for 499.00. Well I am sitting on a gold mine. Was not aware Diemaco made barrels for the No4 and in 303, a fib!. Love the attempt at making the stock look like a L39 or L42.
Buyer beware.
Be well.
If that is a new style weaver scope the price might not be too bad, a little high. 400 would be reasonable. Just my thinking, I do like these things and the separated parts are worth something.
Been waiting to make this post! Took this rifle out last gun season and this year. Shot this guy Sunday morning with the 173g bullet I've mentioned here. It's going low 1800fps, and this alloy was too soft. I knew it was softish, but it shoots great and didnt have time to make adjustments before season. Neck shot dropped him in his tracks. Bullet retained 120g.
