Barrel was actually DRY, except for the last couple inches where it had a faint shine, and a slight, wet lube star of the fine, medium-grey oily residue similar to what eutectic described. Zero leading, another bonus for this gun that tends to accumulate a ring of lead around the forcing cone after a box. First shot was an inch high from the first group, I'd just wiped the bore with Ed's Red prior to shooting and didn't patch it dry, my conclusion is the Ed's left the bore wetter than the lube did, all other shots were exactly in the same, round groups. The gun was almost too hot to hold after 50 quick shots, no deterioration in accuracy and the bore condition remained consistent after each cylinder-full. Lookin' good!
