I’ve heard the same thing from others on this forum. Kinda regret buying this one but works for my 30-30 too so I’m keeping it. 😒

I kind of avoided the reloading bench and spent the day on the other side of the room setting up a HF mini mill. Got the mast squared and the bits running true in their collets. After installing the end mill I figured the size of the milling vise and ordered it. It was pouring rain and gale force winds today. Nice to be inside and dry.
Well, it happened.

I gave my Beretta 92 its first taste of cast (and glue). I'll shoot better when I get used to it. I've got j-words to load/burn up but the 105s are on my casting list.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d7823d3b0d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a814afeb0b.jpg

Calibrated my new beam scale...It is a ChiCom product, sold by a reputable and excellent U.S. Company...OBOY did it ever need it! Substituted what looked like buckshot and floor sweepings in the pan holder for #9 and 10 shot from my Snake load supply, and all went swimingly. ACCURATE, as it should be, and repeatable!
Loaded 142 6.8SPC 90gr bullets
I sized and loaded a few of my first cast and coated bullets for a range test. Had the wrong seating plug in for the round nose, but that's fixed now.

Still tumbling last years range brass. Take a load out, put a load in.
But the oldest Son and Grandson were down for the weekend Duck hunting. Yesterday afternoon the Grandson and I loaded 50 223's. I took him through the whole process from the beginning and let him do most of it. The Giraud trimmer was a little much for him and I did most of the trimming. He did the primer pocket prep with hand tools, primed the cases with a hand primer, charged the cases and seated the bullets. I did the set ups and adjustments after explaining the hows and whys. He acted like he enjoyed it.
Continued To load lyman 90gr .356 over 2.5gr green dot in range pickup mixed head stamp .380 brass. It's interesting how much variation in weight there is from mfg. to mfg.

With the help of a coworker, I got my new bench from the garage to the reloading room. Then I stained the legs, they'll be ready to put on in a couple days. I can then drill new holes for mounting the presses and lubricators. Ill take pictures once im done. During the Chiefs game, I sanded down and polished a new set of Lee handles to work with a recently acquired RCBS mold.
