Fixed my Uniflow powder measure. The hopper showed up so I put it on. Took a good few whacks to seat it but I didn't even use any glue and it seems really good.

Casted a few lbs of NOE 359-155-TC for my IDPA habit, Lee 356-102-1r for the LCP, Lee TL452-230-2r for the 1911, and Lee 356-125-2r just for fun. Tested my hand at running two molds to keep temps down, works great. Just need another NOE to bang out even more of those bullets in a session.
This is going to sound kind of unrelated but I took my Atlas Lathe and got the threading set up on it again. I need some 7/8-14. I saw a setup for a press that would measure your brass length as you went along so you just feed your progressive normally and kick out any brass that needs trimmed. I figure that's pretty darn cool and worthwhile to make. I have some 7/8 aluminum stock should be pretty quick to thread up and add a few holes.
Today
I loaded 300 9mm, 25 16 gauge, and 10 303 Savage
What fun, what fun
Mike
Found 93 mis-organized 40s that I load in 10mm. That means I get to shoot 10mm at the next steel match!
I've got about another 600 pc'd and just waiting a couple weeks before loading/shooting.
Looks like I need to cast a bit more to keep the cycle going...
I turned a .365" size die much like a Lee die for my Mak.
I bought a 36" length of 7/8"-14 hi grade (grade 8) threaded rod just to make things like this.
Nice to get the lathe running again.
More packing up for the move. Found a pound of H414 that I have no idea what to do with and a pound of Clays that im gonna try in some 38Special. Can the H414 be used for 270Win or 223?
Lubrisizing some 200 gr 348 bullets in my recently acquired Redding/Saeco lubrisizer for my Siamese mauser in 348 Winchester!
Does avoiding the wife and family count as something accomplished in the reloading room? If so I did it. Lol
I seated checks on 300 358-200 RCBS & 400 360200 LBT boolits! LOVE LOVE LOVE gator checks!!
De-prime, wet tumble, and sort 5000 9mm cases (with a few 380s mixed in). Haven’t finished my big tumbler yet still using my childhood Model T Tumblers Tumbler (holds a couple 100 pieces of 9mm). Also, swaging crimped primer pockets as needed.
Friday, I Hi-Tek coated, sized, and weight sorted 5000 NOE ELCO 155gr TC cast bullets.
Yesterday, loaded and shot ladder loads over the chrono and onto paper.
Getting all the “processing/testing” done so when my xl750 gets here all I have to do is set it up and crank out some ammo.
PS-Using the smaller tumbler isn’t horrible gives me time to do the de-priming, drying, sorting, swaging in smaller batches.
Deprimed and cleaned 100 30-30 cases to prep for Lee C309-170F boolits I'll take to the deer woods later this week using my Win Model 94.
Sorted 9mm once fired brass by head stamp.
Some brands I won't shoot, and same head stamp brass is more consistent in the loading and the shooting.
Maybe not essential for the type shooting I do, but it's something I can do one handed (had a little doctoring done) and when the weather isn't cooperating.
Finally got my Timney trigger working in my 788 in 223. Just needed to remove some stock where the safety was to work properly. Loaded 10 each with Green Dot, Unique, Red Dot and 700X just under max loads to test Tomorrow or Tuesday. Then loaded 100 357 wadcutters to plink with. Used 2.8 grains Green Dot. Should be fun. All boolits were powder coated also.
Hi all! I swent this afternoon breaking in my Mihec 45-70 "Keith styled" 400 gr HP SWC mould (just the flat-nosed version.) I cast about 9 pounds of bullets, most of them being PB, but cast a few from the GC cavity as well. I cast them using 20:1 alloy, and these came in at 440gr +/- 2gr. The as cast diameter is about 0.4625 - 0.4630, so I'll size these down to 0.460. I then tried my hand at HiTek coating...it's about the same level of effort as PC, but you need to be a little more precise in how you measure and manage it. So far, I'm happy with the results, and they came out better than I expected. I can't wait to try these out in my various .45-70s. Ed

Made another set of shelves and did some reorganizing. Still a a couple empty shelves, looks like I need to spend some money to fill them up. It is a terrible cycle, we acquire stuff, then we organize it so more stuff can be acquired. Kind of like watering the grass, mowing it and watering again.
Forming 358 & 35 Whelen brass here!!!
Annealing next step.
Trim oal and chamfer flash holes last.

Just tinkering. I sorted about 10# of clip on weights that a friend dropped off the other night. The way they were skinned up looks like he picked them up off of various street corners. He probably did as its a game that we started. Its good to see him carrying on in my absence! Also deprimed and sorted a partial tub of brass.
