About 7 ounces, give or take. My pewter discs range from 6 to 8.5 oz.
My most recent casting session was around 16 lbs of wheel weight ingots converted into Lee .356" 124gr RN TL boolits, and another 5 or so lbs of wheel weight ingots converted into Lee .312" 185gr GC RNs for my Mosin. Got 50 of those loaded up at 5 different charge weights, and ready to take to the range on Saturday morning to finally dial in my most accurate charge of IMR 4227. Then it's on to setting the optimal COAL and I'm hoping to have that Mosin shooting 2 MOA.
800+ 452374. They're all PC'd in Smoke's clear and run through a .452 push thru Lee. Ready to load. Brass is all primed (last winter's project). Just in time, too. Cold front is about to roar through and it'll be very cold for the next few days, so time to go to the loading bench (indoors).
Derek...I noticed your conspicuous absence around here for a while...then it came out that you were moving.
Soooo....I can only 'assume' that with all these savings in casting/loading...you bought yourself a new house!

right ?
Cast a bunch of .44s in a Lee 2 banger. Got in a hurry and dropped a few that should have cooled a bit more
Come on fellas...good or bad results-no matter, 'post some pictures' of your work.

That's the 'ticket' . . . thanks.
Most of us old Geezers can't read anymore so...we just look at the pictures! :)
Can't *** pics. since "windows 10 " up dated ( with out my permission) my computer....but still did a about 400 40 cal. (.406 dia.) and some 45 colt (.454 sized to .452) for a friend ..dipped out of the pre-melt side of my MK II . Pan lubed ,,punched out bullets w/ brass cases ,,drilled 1/4" hole thru primers milled a plunger ,,added a spring on top w/ a pin as a stop,,push down over bullet',, wipe x-cess wax off,, push bullet out w/ spring loaded plunger,, it was a good day.
coffee's ready,,,,Hootmix.
Last weekend I cast about 450 - MP 452-200/HG 68's (in pic) AND about 250 NOE 382-235's for a buddy's 38-55. No pic of those boolits, but they poured/dropped beautifully as you would expect from an NOE. ;-);-);-);-);-);-);-);-)

Used a Lee 6 cav mold casting the 148 gr full wadcutter boolit a couple of weeks ago. What a pleasure to use! Cast about 350 boolits seemingly in no time compared to using the 2 cav molds before. I may just sell all my 2 cav molds and get 6 cav versions now. Only thing is the 10# lee pot empties pretty fast!
Joe
in past week cast 16# of .38/.357 120 gr RN out of a new 5-gang NOE mold
you can make a pile of them in short order
already PC them yesterday (in the rain)
and will size them today if weather gets above freezing
Walter...'shake-N-bake' or 'ES' method (re: in the rain)?
I cast about 12 lbs of alloy in a 240 grain .430 mold today... I haven't counted, but it seems like 300-400 boolits. :D
Tomorrow is .460 day... I need more boolits to PC!

YOU GET THE PRIZE FOR THE MOST WORK DONE THIS WEEK!
Better drop by the pharmacy on your way home...pick up a gallon of liniment for that poor sizing arm!

Do these count? 5 buckets of range scrap to go, lots of dirt.
