It's not just the engraving that makes the rifle beautiful; every detail is about as perfect as you can get it. They do some awesome work.

Let's see if this works - first time posting pics here.
45-90 LRE, 34" Heavy Octagon. Really likes Postells over heavily compressed Swiss 1.5.

That is about the finest looking sharps I've ever seen. I'll be the first to go $200 on that rifle ..
Johnk454,
How much Swiss 1.5?
I just spent an afternoon with my Shiloh and 1885 highwall, burning 73-grains of swiss 1.5. I was testing a half-dozen bullet profiles. I had some interesting results.
Thanks, BS
Here's my Sharps and my Browning. 45 2.1 and 45 2.4 respectively.
It's time to put away the black guns and get back to "The One True Way"

Never knew anything could be so purdy.
golly !!!
Our friends up in Big Timber are artists. Someday I'll finish filling out the order form. So many options, had almost ruled out engraving. Thanks, guys!
They are works of art! IMHO the extra $$$ for the fancier grain wood is well worth it. If you guys want a serious drool session....go to Big Timber and look at the ones on the wall. Outstanding craftsmanship!
I know lust is a sin but damn, and then there is the one about not coveting your nabors goods. Man those things are pretty enough to take on a date!!!!! Jetwrench
so finally got a shiloh and its jest a shooter...well almost anyway. its way more then that to me but it is a plain jane rifle compared to some shown here. this is the result of another black rifle gone for a good shooting sharps.
this is a 45-120 ss. housed in a hartford model shiloh. these photos are from the former owner as im not in love with my camers on the phone for photo's. so here is my pet

so there she is and i am very gratefull to have it in my hands. what a peach and a fine shooter as well so far.
Congrats, bigted. Even a straght-grained unadorned rifle from Big Timber is a work of art IMHO. Life is short, guess I better get mine on the way soon.
45-70 ,45-90 , 40-65 and a 54 perc.
Wyoduster - Are all of those Shiloh's?
Very nice, Virginian! Beautiful wood, incredible fit & finish. If you don't mind me asking, what grade wood did you specify? That's one choice that's keeping me from ordering my own Shiloh.
