Experimented with making .45 I words from .40 brass. Got the first one stuck in the .243 die. Duh.
So I played with different length trimed 9x19 cases to .40 I words with BT's one step die.
Help a mate load up some 223 rounds .down to a gun shop to get him started with his own press etc on Saturday .then I stripped down my slb after I had a round misfire just enough to push the boolit into the rifiling so when I ejected the case a load of unburn powder fell into the action .it was fairly easy to do but not as easy as a win 94 .
sorted 10gallons of range brass, vibed the 40S&W and the 45acp, deprimed 400 40S&W, cast 40lb of 311329 and 10lb of 311-165 NOE ranchdog, clean scrubbed and re-smoked two 1cav 311329 a 4cav 311329 and a 3cav NOE311-165. was a busy night last night, got started around 1600 gave up around 0400.
Mixed up about 50 pounds of alloy. It's supposed to be very close to Lyman #2.
I wonder if it is.
Bored out my bullet sizing die another .001. Way easier and faster than I expected. A guy could over do it pretty quick with a drill.

sureYnot -- that's why we do it by hand
After getting the potential j word stuck in the .243 die I put 2 drops of Lucas Tool Box Buddy in it and let it sit.
The next day 3 whacks and out it pops. I then annealed 48 9x19 cases (lost coun) and dropped them in lemi shine solution.
Today I annealed another 52 cases. Let them soak while I added lead to the. 40 cal j words that I didn't weight before swaging. I had to drill small amounts of lead out of 2. Then put all 100 cases in the purple tumbler to dry out & semi polish. Going back down after my break to trim those cases to expose some lead at the tip.
I took that 30/06 brass that I annealed yesterday, and re formed it to 7.65. Then trimmed and loded it with 17g 5744 and a 200g cast gas check bullet.
Ill shoot them in a very old 1889 Mauser.

Sized/expander then sonic cleaned 60 45/70 cases then sized 50 308 cases.must do some casting next.
Powder coated and gas checked some boolits for 45/70 loads, sized to .459
NOE 460-396RF on the left, and a lyman 62560 550gr mold on the right

had great sucess with the NOE and VVN130, but does anyone have any experience with the lyman mold ?
I have to seat the bullet really deep and there's no more groove to crimp the bullet.
Today I trimmed the last 75 9x19 annealed cases. Wore out a new Lee case cutter by 70. See my review under reloading equip.
Did I ever mention that I totally agree with the member that posts he hates trimming brass?
MORE SORTING YESTERDAY!!!
I went thru almost five, 5 gal buckets of mixed range brass!!! My fingers where SORE!!!
But I was able to get most of a full bucket of 45’s and another of mixed small stuff. 9mm/380/32. I dont need those so they will sit for someone else and some later date.
I also seperated some 4-600 38/357 mags, a few hundred 308’s, only 66 30/06, but 3/4 a pail of 556, 200-300 40’s & 5-600 357 Sig nickle brasss!
Highlights where some 100 ish 38 supers, couple boxes of 10mm’s, a couple dozen brass 9mm Largos and even a few 50 A&E pieces.
Ooh, All but 24 of the 308’s where berdan primed. Grrr
My tumblers will keep my room warm for most of January!!

I modified pet food dishes for reloading (Case feeder? Boolit feeder? Wazzat?).
Two dispensers feed my press. One is unmodified for boolits. The other needed the reservoir opened up at the base so the cases will feed by gravity without getting hung up.
Using these instead of the trays I had before will free up some bench space that is much needed for shop clutter ;^D.
I also slapped together two new frames for HiTek drying. I'll put the 1/4" hardware cloth on later this week.
Fired up the lead pot for a few hours... 5 cavity Arsenal 124 9mm and got my nemesis NOE RG 2C 40 caliber mould to work well.

Installed a hose reel so I can keep my work bench tidy-er and have a handy within reach air nozzle to blow the work bench down after a long session.
Sorted and posted for trade on the sister site all the brass I have collected/saved that I don't reload for.
And then I watched YouTube videos of the AMP Annealing machine and decided I'm going to eat offbrand peanut butter and out of date jelly sandwiches on stale bread so I can have one in a few months.
