Just finished loading up about 60+ fire forming loads in shortened .303 British brass for my .40-50 Sharps Straight Remington Hepburn. Yesterday I finally fired up my RCBS pot and cast 100 or so 300 grain RCBS .410" boolits to test in this rifle (and 3 others) after I fire form some cases.
I basically sorted through some rifle brass (243, 308, 30-06. 7mm mag, 270, 30-30 etc.) Don't even have the rifle for a few of em but maybe later... As soon as I can regulate the rpm on my new home made tumbler I'll be able to wash a lot more.
Making a six shooter a 12 shooter. Planning stages presently.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9b011357d4.jpg

I like it!
Just make sure that the round ball is sized large enough that it doesn’t drop free in the case.
If that gets propelled forward into the base of the bullet it’s going to ring the chamber.
I’ve done double round ball loads in 38 special and I love them.
Now I guess I need to load some more this week.
With my move and a couple of improbable set backs .......
This in a tiny rental instead of a dedicated trophy room .
Attachment 228156
44"×27" desktop ,36×24" bottom , and 12×36" top .
2 8" shelves and a 12 on top and a 16" on the bottom .
I bought seconds plywood at $8 eat for the 4×6@3/4 and $12 for the 4×8@1/2" back , the 1 1/4" was a flooring "scrap" . Screws etc total cost under $40 . I still need 2 @ 7/16x2 1/4 bolts and 2 more @ 3/8 . 10 1/4-20 insert nuts and 4 @ 1/4-20x2 1/4 bolts for the shotgun presses .
Ran a bunch of Lyman 314299's through the lube sizer ...
Tried out my new MP 357-125HP today with using smokes clear. I’m not new to smokes powders but I am to clear and was really curious to see how it would come out. Not exactly what I pictured in my mind but I do like it!
*out of the mold on the left. PC’d and sized on the right

Started putting stuff in their places. Cleaned the top of the bench afterwards. Bought a new shelving system for reloaded ammunition. Put it together. Thinking about mounting a shotshell loader.

NEED to do some house cleaning...
But what I did was prep some 30-30's and looking thru the loaded ammo found three boxes of 748/160 FTX that was seated too long for the Savage 24 as it was set for the H&R I sold couple years back. SO, I set them lil shorter and gonna send them into the back stops later today!
I also prepped a couple hundred 357 SIG's.

Prepped 50 brand new Winchester 6.5X55 Swede cases, had to throw 2 cases out they were cracked along the entire length of the neck!! ( I didn't buy them)
Cleaned a NOE TL358-100-RF and cast about 100 junk HPs cause the pins were not hot ehough. Then did it good stuck base of pins in the melt and proceeded to coat everything in lead and had to use a torch to gently get the lead out of the hex heads so I could clean then mess off. Once I got that done, re-melted the rejects, & got the pot up to temp the pins were too cool. Pressure fed the mold until the pins got hot again, and managed another 150 perfect little 380 hps.
I converted a few 32-20 cases into 25-20, just getting started in this activity and it has been a learning experience. Am always watching the results to find where I can make the process more successful.
Sat at the bench and looked out of the window at the rain. Oh yeah, I was sorting and deprimming a tub of range brass while watching it rain!
I just cast some 160 gr Lee 30 cal boolits with the ancient s/c mold that I have. I maybe cast 3 pounds or so. Then it got too hot to stay in the shed, with with the a/c on.
Cast a ton of .451”round balls that with a rich alloy and some extra coats of hi tek will be about .458” for triple round ball loads in the 45/70
Now I need a lee 6 cavity .457 round ball mould to make this easier and make the balls a little larger.
Cast a bunch of 405 grain for the 45/70
Coated some 130 grain 9mm and some 198 grain 30 cals.
Sized and lubed (for the non coated) all of the above
Switching between preparing a thousand once fired .32 ACP cases from Elite Reloading (sweet prices!), and sizing and lubing about 2K of Lyman 75 gr .32 acp bullets. I've been in a mouse gun phase for a couple months.
Full-length resized 90 pieces of 7.62x54R brass.
I recently acquired a Finnish M39, to go with my 1930 Izzy 91/30. Of course, the chamber on the M39 is MUCH smaller then the chamber on the 91/30.
Which means, all my carefully neck-turned, neck-sized, annealed brass for the 91/30 won't chamber in the M39.
Which means I have to keep separate brass for two rifles that fire the same cartridge.
Sigh.....
Loaded up 30 6.5 Grendels with 2460 & 130 Sierra #1728's.
