Yesterday evening I got a brass case stuck in a full length sizing die wile resizing some once fired brass , when you hear that funny sound don't push it in any further . I eventually got it out but it was in pieces and I had a hole in my hand . After the fight I decided to get out the imperial wax and my old Pacific 007 single stage press . When this all started the plan was to quickly run the brass through a progressive press just full length sizing , using spray lube . I just finished tumbling them ready to load .

Started yesterday tumbling 2 coffee cans of 45 brass for a buddy. Plan to finish those up today. Sorting out any rejects and small primers as I go.
-
Just got in from casting a pile of the Lee tc boolits for my 9mm. That's pretty much all I cast now, except for an occasional pile for my .44 RemMag.
-
Pretty much spent the whole day tumbling, drying and sorting brass. Probably dream about looking at calibers and headstamps!

Started setting up my 2nd star reloader this on in 45acp.

Unwrapped a brand new 5cav mold from ACCURATE.
.45-210J, one of my shooting buddies bought it "for me" so I can cast BULLETS for his COWBOY SHOOTING LOADS. I also got 5 new empty HORNADY die boxes so I can set up more die sets with L-N-L Bushings.
I seem to be doing more casting & reloading for my buddies than I do for myself these days.

Loaded up some 38 spcl with unique and a rn cast 158. We'll see how the model 10 likes em on Saturday... Picked up a bit too and put away some mags I had laying around.

Mounted my new birthday present. Its the orange one. Lyman Brass Smith Ideal Press. Its hefty. Now I need to figure out how I am gonna mount the new Uniflow Powder Measure. My bench is pretty small but works for the apartment while we save for a house. It is cut as a triangle to fit in the corner to save space.

Congrats on the birthday present. Looks great.
I dug and dug and dug at the range. Dragged home five 5 buckets 2/3s the way full. Lots of old school bullets in it. Somebody has been shooting a very very very large gun at the 25 yard bunker.
An hour a bucket sifting wet dirt is not bad. Well even if it is I do not care I am happy I now have some lead scrap. Oh and I put it all in the new houses reloading room. To bad its not finished yet.

Cast, pan lubed and sized a couple hundred 245 grain SWCs for the .44 mag.
Was getting a little low on 158 grain .38 specials so I loaded up a couple boxes of those.
-
Loaded several hundred 9mm.

Continued working on my latest muzzleloader build. Reloading bench does double duty. I've got a build thread over in the muzzleloader section here.

I finished mounting the new Lock and Load AP press. Got set up for 9mm, and did a few loads as singles, then got braver and actually used the full feature and had brass in each shell holder on the turret as I got more comfortable with the operation. Went out and shot a few, adjusted the powder volume a tad. Chronographed the shots, checked for keyholing, and all looked good, so proceeded to get into "production" mode. After about 300 rounds, I noticed I wasnt paying attention to the primer tube and was loading minus the primer  Decided to try and slip them thru the press and just get them thru the primer position just to primer a loaded shell. Ended up losing powder out the primer hole into the primer feed mechanism and jambed it. :killingpc:killingpc In the process of trying to get the primer feed working I broke it

Lesson learned the first time, sometimes I have to learn the same lesson a couple times, but this time I hope once was enough. New part arrives Thursday from Amazon, and I will be back into reloading. Maybe I can work on my brass feed in the meantime. It isnt anything like my rockchucker :drinks:

Loaded 50 45-70 405 g Lee boolits .
-
Loaded ten 170 gr RD boolits into some fire formed 30-06 A.I. brass, using a 30-06 charge.
I dunno why... probably because I don't have any empty brass that isn't fire formed.

Nothing! I spent the last four days rebuilding the clubs outdoor range. I'm whooped. Our club had range boxes and the bullets where not being contained. Now we have a 120yrd field with mountain behind it. Target stands that can be placed at any distance wanted. Mainly the bullets have a good backstop to contain them.
Well maybe not nothing. Does putting five 5 gallon buckets of range scrap into the reloading room count.
