On this same day, first day of youth deer weekend, just before end of shooting time shots were heard taken from the road into a neighbor's field. Can't go into detail but evidence was taken and documented by F&W which included empty cases found in the road and tire tracks and youth sized boot prints in mud at the edge of the field. No drag marks and doesn't appear anything was hit. F&W said the description matches reports they have of a vehicle seen night hunting in the area and there were at least two violations here: shooting from the roadway ( have to be 25ft off it) and not having written permission to hunt unposted private property which is ONLY required for this weekend to prevent this scenario. Then there are the ethical implications of teaching youth the wrong way to go about it which prompted the call. Most get it...some don't.
