getting ready to do some reloading tomorrow
Loaded 9mm cast bullets, trying to load enough to shoot all summer without spending time in the reloading room.
Cast 500 revolver bullets. Pulls some "mystery" hand loads a friend gave me. Cleaned up the bench.
Sorted out gun show items yesterday and early this morning I loaded them up in the truck and off I went to the show. Just got back home a little while ago. Had a great time ... good social visit with many folks that I haven't seen in ages ... and I only bought 2 items for myself for a total of $45 and sold $395 worth of odds and ends off my own table so I actually came home with more cash than I took! Didn't have to bring much back home again either ...

Sorted through some .44MAG & .44SPL to get ready to load bullets from my New N.O.E. 4cav TL-432-243-RF. My first Tumble-Lube mold. BULLETS are sized & lubed, I just need to figure out the .44SPL Load. The .44Mags will get 5.5grs of TITEGROUP for my Chiropractor's COWBOY SHOOTING GUNS. The .44SPL's are for me to shoot in my S&W 624. Probably the SKEETER Load. I shoot a 210gr #429478 sized .428 in my COLT'S for COWBOY SHOOTING. Try the .44MAG Loads in my WINCHESTER 94 20" & MARLIN COWBOY 24". Those will be a change for me.
I usually shoot a WINCHESTER 1873 in .44WCF.
second batch of 45 Colt/44 Mag brass being wet tumbled
38 Sp in corncob tumbler
Pulled out my just arrived 35 whelen dies, set them up and ran 65 r-p 30-06 brass thru them to make up my test batch brass. Now to tumble the lube off them, and get to inletting the stock on the Savage 35 whelen project.
Lubricated and sized boolits:
NOE 358 124gr. TC GC ....sized to .357
NOE 360 160gr. WC ........sized to .358
NOE 413 215gr. WC ........sized to .412
All lubed with Lithi-Bee soft boolit lube in my Lyman 450 .
It was a nice day and enjoyed by all....me and a skinny little black cat that moved in and made me his servant.
He mainly chased insects and licked himself....he refused to learn how to operate the 450, just wasn't interested in it at all .

"Calibrated" three powders using the Lee Adjustable Charge Bar.
Nothing I spent 8 hours at the shooting range. Well now I will be in the reloading room cleaning brass and guns.
Put together 60 rounds of 30/30 Ackley Imp. with some freebie demilled M80 ball. Neck sized with a .308 win Lee collet neck sizer, seated with a Lee standard seating die and finished off the package with a pass through a Lee Factory Crimp die. The finished rounds are excellent in form and function. At the risk of being labeled a heretic, I have to say that those long sleek j-words sitting on top of that svelte Ackley case makes for a pretty sexy looking cartridge.
These are for exclusive use in a 24" T/C custom shop contender barrel. My next project is to use the exact same setup to load regular 30/30 win, with the same M80 ball and use them for fireforming.
Melted down 7 lbs. of Goodwill pewter and cast 2/3 of it into 250 and 350 grain boolits to sweeten the casting pot with when needed.
On crutches the last couple days, so since the reloading room is downstairs & even though I have work there to do, I have to just sit here & read most of the time to prepare for reloading enjoyment later...
;)
Gotta stay positive, even when life gets ya down a bit, right?
:)
Prepping a can's worth of guns to be Dura Coated. No more steelwooling rust from my hard use guns. A neighbor's AR 15 is first, then three shotguns and a bolt action rifle of mine.
Get better, JB!
loaded 500 .45 Colt rounds for SASS shooting
next up is .357 for same event
I choose a bullet weight that gives me 1/2 oz pewter boolits. this makes it easier for me to alloy
