I've got a buddy with an orange taco, oldest daughter has a beautiful blue one her husband got her for becoming a nurse last year, she picked it out, has a manual transmission. She loves it.

Mine is just an old '09 Tacoma. Nothing special.
The wife's ride is pretty nice though. Here she is. Lexus NX200t.

Lots of folks have done just that. But,......you will have to change out all the trans/transfer box, rear and front pumpkin gearing to new ratio in order to really use the extra hp of the eight block. The 40 was made for incredible torque at very low rpm with the ratios the manufacturer put in all the power transfer points for a very good reason. 4 wheel, low gear transfer, 1st gear at idle will walk up a 26 degree hill while you walk beside it holding onto the steering wheel. Had mine for 27 years. Custom milled head, custom stelite oversized truck exhaust valves, hardened steel valve seats, chevy valve rotator's installed, custom tuned header, re-jetted carb, upgraded coil, braided water and oil line hoses, and full time hubs. Was punching close to 200 hp when done. Could never use all the hp I got, but low end power was something to behold. Anyone who has ever been down to Rock Point in Mexico and know about the "HILL" just south of Sandy beach can just imagine at midnight cranking it into low range, starting off in second gear, with Duran Duran screaming in the speakers and this machine screeming up that sand hill to the top in less than fifteen seconds....well it was quite a rush to say the least. Just plain something that stays with ya. lol Went wherever and whenever I wanted to, and never left me to walk out......... ever!

The 1973 Dodge Dart. It was born a 318 car with factory air, automatic and power disk brakes.
Sitting next to its big brother at a Year One car show.

Some minor cosmetic pieces on top of a 318 punched out to 340 and built for durability, not buying a new set of rear tires per week or breaking the NOS 727 automatic transmission and left the factory air conditioning as its hot during the summer in Georgia.

Custom built subwoofer cabinet in trunk, rear deck had been cut for 6"×9" speakers in rear so just put best 6"×9"s I could.

The 1973 FLH Shovelhead. A perfect example of if "it doesn't bleed it's not alive" AMF Harley as leave it sitting overnight and will leave an oil stain and has a pan under it in the garage. No sense in tearing down the bottom end of a Shovel if it's running perfect over a minor leaking seal between the crankcase and primary drive.

Here's mine...
2004 Silverado, standard cab, short bed. 4.8? V8, 5 speed stick. Regency conversion.
Dual Magnaflow exhaust. It's a real hot rod!
Only problem is with rear wheel hop! Need to figure out how to stop that. It will chirp it's tires in second gear, just a ton of fun to drive

In decent condition when I got I drove it for a while then parked it. Family things kept putting off my doing serious work other than disassembly. Still the original 383 block and Torqueflite transmission although both completely rebuilt and improved. A lot of other parts replaced and improved, added rear disc brakes as the drums were gone. The color is HOK KBC05 Cobalt blue, clear coat, then polish. Bumpers rechromed and new aftermarket trim where needed. Pearl white top and interior. I mixed the dye lot and colored the carpet to match the non standard car color. Repainted all the old and replacement plastic with custom color as well. A lot of other small details, but it's an attention getter at shows. It's name is Deacon Blues, from the old Steely Dan song.
