Nice^^^… H&G molds about as good as it gets.
Just got an H&G 76, which is 8mm. Great looking but no handles, bummed the slot is too small for Lyman handles. The slot measures .250" so I'll gen up an "adapter" and see how it works.
i have a lyman 311284 that casts nice, however need a .312 diameter and this was at 309 with my alloy. so, i used sticky stainless steel tape inside the mold to try and fatten it up. by gosh it works !! same alloy it now casts .314-.315 and i am one happy camper now. i wanted to do this for a long time and had time today. i would not hesitate to do the same to other molds.
My 40 caliber Accurate mold arrived today.
RIP Texas Grunt
Attachment 293072Attachment 293073 From a NW club's small gun show I chose three molds from a fine gentleman's table of casting paraphernalia. The Winchester is actually usable with some cleanup. The 360, I realized only from later research is a flyer-prone clunker. No wonder it looked so unused. Oh, well in truth I don't even own a gun for it, so no problem I guess,
I have an opportunity to pick up these molds with handles. I am just getting started casting and do not know if these are fairly priced. I didn't get these molds today....but I might.
Are these priced right for what they are?
Hensley & Gibbs 8 Cavity 45 ACP Round Nose #34.451 $300
Hensley & Gibbs 6 Cavity 45 Long Colt Round Nose Flat Point Loose Handle #22.454 $275
Lyman 1 Cavity 45-70 Gov't. Round Nose 475 Grain #457406 A $65
Hensley & Gibbs 6 Cavity 41 S&W Magnum Semi-Wadcutter #261-410 $250
Hensley & Gibbs 6 Cavity 30 Carbine Round Nose #113.311 $200
I did buy this one.....Could not resist a Keith Original, hope I did ok.
Hensley & Gibbs 6 Cavity 45 Long Colt Semi-Wadcutter #501.454 (Taped Handle) $225
And these....
NEI Flat Point 4 Cavity 45-70 Gov't. Flat Point #458440 OGC $100
Lyman 2 Cavity 45 Long Colt Flat Point 350 Grain #452651 AV $100
Again, not sure if I did ok....or paid a premium for these molds that are no longer in production.
Thanks in advance, and a bit of a noob so if this post belongs somewhere else?........(Other forums I belong to mods move them)......Please let me know.
About ten days ago, I picked up an Ideal 412174 double cavity. This particular design was used in the old 40-65 cartridge. I've cast some up and sized them to fit my .41 magnum revolvers. To cold and wet to go shoot though.
Ordered this one yesterday. https://noebulletmolds.com/site/shop...-cavity-pb-rd/ Should be able to get some good velocity in my 45-70 with less recoil.
I didn't get exactly a mould ... but a set of Lee 6 cavity Bullet Mould Handles!
Over the last 50 years of having a bad bullet mould addiction ... I had a lot of Lyman 1-2 cavity moulds .
Always being strapped for disposable income I could afford only one set of handles . Lyman handles were expensive . After getting hooked on Lee 1-2 cavity moulds I got addicted to having a set of handles on each mould ... swapping that one set of Lyman handles among 30 blocks started to get old ... Then the Lee 6 cavity handles became reality ... at $10-$12 I could afford them ... I could buy 4 sets of Lee handles for the price of 1 Lyman ...
I probably have 20 Lyman moulds I cast with on a regular basis and since discovering NOE I have 5 of those Sweet Things with another wanted ... I like keeping handles on all of these ... The price for the handles has risen to $20 but that's not bad and still cheaper than Lyman ($50)
So every time I order something from any of the suppliers I always order at least one and sometimes 3 sets of 6-cavity handles ...
My Goal is to have handles on every set of blocks that I regularly use ...
No More swapping one set of handles all around ... Besides NOE moulds just deserve their own set of handles !

I'd forgotten about this Hoch mold. Checking it out, it's a perfect fit for the Ruger Old Army.
So yeah, I have a new to me mold. [smilie=l:

Gun show on Saturday, picked up 2 Ideal single cavities. One was nos, the other barely used. 41032 and 429348. The fun awaits.
I picked up another 45 ACP mold last month and cast about 300 bullets with it, have them coated and sized, but I haven't had time to load any yet. I can't afford one of the original H & G #34molds,s so I picked up a five cavity Arsenal version of the bullet http://arsenalmolds.com/bullet-molds...it=99999999999
I just got a Lee 9mm mould (125 gr, 6 cavity, TL) in my mailbox today. Now I’ve just gotta get off my adze and cast up a bunch of these and from the 32 Keith mould I’ve kept on loan entirely too long. :-?

Well actually the other day, besides the Lee 6 cavity.,I purchased a Noe 460-315 RF three holer, for the 45/70
Eras Gone 36 Caliber Richmond Labs bullet.
I bought an Accurate 43-199S ~200 grain SWC for use in my 44 Specials. I'd like a bit less recoil than my usual Skeeter loads produce, so I think these will do the trick..
Just received my NOE 358 154 rnfp pb mold for .38 Special. Hope to cast some later this week. hc18flyer
