Finished loading .25 acp for now. Ran out of bullets first. Going to set up to cast a few more, then switch to GC.224 55 gr.
Snow front is moving in and all my old injuries are screaming. But a good time to cast.

modified my oven so I can bake two racks of PC bullets
doubles output to 200 or so
Tinkering again. PC the base of PB boolits for the BO. Will BLL, size, then BLL again. BLL is excellent sizing lube. Compare with GC version to try preventing gas port from cutting the bases. Best I've gotten @ 100 with a harder alloy and uncoated bases is 1" circle - pretty sure the port is cutting the base.
Gathering brass to swap with a friend of mine. He offered to swap for his farm raised food products.
Saturday is opening day for muzzleloader .
getting the gun , ammo, powder and primers staged for the out the door trip
Rubber boots cleaned up , hunting clothes set out
check, check and double check
Another big batch of fired brass is going into the ss pin tumbler shortly. (I spent yesterday up at the range turning ammunition into fired brass ...)
:Fire:
Was going to mount a scope on the newest rifle. But I had to move three air conditioners out of the way. Then I pulled the potatoes from the garden. Needed a place to put the buckets so I went through boxes of reloading items I bought from a friend of the family a long time ago. Now I have room to work but the baby woke up and the 3yo is acting like a baby.
Made a Lee style case trim gage for a .400/350 Nitro Express. Converting cases from 9.3x74r, they need to be trimmed after reforming.
Range day today; so wet tumbling brass this evening. Always feels good to come home with more brass than I took with me, especially cases I can use.
Cast more 51gr.251 pills. Then switched to .224 55 gr GC. Casting bullets thatweigh less than the sprue is tedious. Finished decapng .25 cap range brass.
I plan to sort more wheelweights today. In the shop though, not the loading room, although they will eventually wind up there!
Went to the range to harvest some more lead from the berms before heading to the Gun Show to help out at the Club's booth. Pulled in another 30 pounds in about 45 min. Expecting snow soon so I'm grabbing what I can while I can.

I'm planning for today to be a cleaning/organizing day. May make it out to the shop to sort some more weights.
Moving my lead ingots into the basement today, about 1500 lbs.
That will be a good workout! Hope you are young and in good shape. Luck to ya, My Friend!
No loading this weekend, but made lots of reloading opportunities, 400/350 N.E., 375 H&H, 303 British, 35 Remington, 470 N.E., 416 Rigby, 8x50r, and 318 Westley Richards.
Forgot 50/70, found the brass when I went to polish the weekend's remains.
Another great weekend.

Finished trimming .22-250 brass, ordered moulds from NOE, started gathering metals to start an age hardening and expansion study on four alloys that I will be making soon.
Loaded cast bullets in 35 Whelen, 30-30, 32 Win Spcl, and 45-70 for upcoming deer hunting trip. Still trying to decide which to take.
