I need to start stocking up on primers again now that they're available again
I think I have about 1200/1300lbs of lead and am already 67 but the good thing is I have a range in my front yard and can recover most of my target lead so I should be able to shoot my way in where ever I'm going.
shoot, if i had a range in my front yard, a lifetime supply would be 150 pounds.
"Do you have a lifetime supply"
EASY
Maybe.....I HOPE not ;-) I'm heavy on lino (pun intended), but not so much on WW and pure.
Bars & Bars of lino mother in-law worked at a newspaper. I worked at a housing project when showers & roofs went bad got the shower pans & roofing lead, the kind they put around the pipe stacks, have several generations. Happy trails.
We have two 55 gal barrels of wheel weights waiting, when I get time to sort. That is not counting about 450 pounds of range lead. And, I almost forgot, boxes and boxes of various lino and mono.
If I don't slow down enough to shoot more, I will have enough lead for all my grandkids too!
I now have about 600lbs of bullets cast and ready to go, I have more then 1800lbs of lead alloy mixed and maybe 200lbs of pure lead sitting around.... I am done finding lead, I moved in the last few weeks and let me say.... I dont want to move this lead again!
EDIT: opps, I forgot the 300lbs of alloy that was contaminated that I use only for buckshot or slugs.
Since O'bumer's minions are paying attention ...... I have just barely enough for one boolit ..... I shoot it into my own dirt bank and retrieve it, recast and shoot again!
That's my story .............
Three 44s
I don't remember how I answered the poll a few years ago, but I think I may have reached that lifetime supply status. I had a good year scrounging during both 2013 and 2014, with a few fairly large scores. I'm currently cleaning out my shop and I forgot just how much I did come up with. I still have probably 2 large (400#) smelts to do before I have it cast into ingots. You CAN move a milk crate of lead if you want to bad enough! I'll still be looking for more!
Yea at my present rate or lack of shooting more than enough for me.
I probably have 800 lbs in my shed and am working on filling my 50 gallon barrel...1/2 full right now :)
You do know it don't really matter, lifetime supply, heck two lifetimes worth sitting at home and we would STILL snag it if the price was right, or the alloy was sweet, or there was someone to help us load it, or.... hey look over there a WW by that pot hole! Sweeeet it is not zinc!
Yep pretty much irrelevant how much you have. Still alive then probably still adding to it.
Probably so, 1500 lbs. stored in the yard, plus just netted another 40 lbs. from range lead I scavenged off the berm this last year. The 40 lbs. I scavenged likely replaces most of what I shot.
Me and my casting buddy picked this up in the last few weeks!!!!Attachment 152678
We smelt , he cast and l powder coat !!!!
Then we shoot alot!!!
Add three more 5 gallon buckets to that pic that i pick up last week !!!!
Need More !!!! Two of us shoot .
to 13 buckets Now(Dec.20,2015)
Nope. I probably have around 150 pounds right now. No where near enough.
Good Grief! Is this thread ever....ever....ever... gonna die? Probably after me!

Cheap, Fast, Good. Kindly pick two.
Nope I'll give it a bump. Ive prolly netted around 500lbs in recent purchases...nowhere near a lifetime supply though.
24,000 unsized cast bullets, 1000 lbs alloy and a whole lot of loaded ammo so probably no
