It was purchased many moons ago for nothing close to what they go for now.
Had some fun with the 1949 Oliver 77. Got a first place in a 4500 LB class. The paint isn't too great but touched up the yellow and red on its nose.
Summer daily driver......
40K when I bought it 68 now .

it's a 1978 volare with the e57 and a66 fender tag. was special order only.
They sold 577 of those orders in 1978
The fender tag codes mean there wasn't a volare "badge" any where on the car and it was sold as a roadrunner.
It's got the factory 318 in it that is FAR from factory ( hehe hehe)
It loves to eat rice. when the kids with their imports start bragging about their 250 HP with turbo, I just remind them that they are maxed HP wise and tell 'em the truth. It's got a Eaton M90 blower under the hood generating around 4 to 6 PSI Along with a long list of other parts.
I wanna put a new engine in it next spring. gonna stay small block maybe a 360 ( I have a line on one) I don't want to go Big block as I'll lose my 4 speed manual trans if I do that. but all that is required is moved motor mounts and battery in the trunk.
440 would drop right in.
These were the last of the muscles cars they stopped production of the Duster, Road runner, and Aspen R/t in 1980 with only 300 made.
then went to front wheel drive K car series for close to 10 years.
It's nice to see MOPAR step back up to the plate with the new hell cat and other true MOPAR performance cars.

PS:
There is NO replacement for displacement!
Very cool. Thanks for the info Rich. Nice having a unique car in what seems like a sea of new Mustangs and WRX/STIs. (Though many are pretty quick! ). That's why my kids and I picked the Duster for our current project.
Here's the car I've been working on for the past 5 years... It was a rusty, pee-stinking, mouse-nested, spider-and-cobweb filled mess when I got it at an estate auction. My wife is the one who found the listing for it actually. It's a '60 Chevy Biscayne that was titled in '59 and parked in the back of a chicken house in '72, with no battery, about a half a tank of still gas in it, keys tossed on the dash, inspection sticker good through '73, and the registration papers laying in the glove box.
My sister-in-law restores older Impalas and had a spare set of chrome rims with good tires laying around that she sold me for cheap to replace the original steel rims shod with severely dry-rotted bias-ply tires.
The original 283 was completely locked up, so it got yanked, but the 3-on-the-tree was still good (the column shift mechanism is about at the end of it's useful life, though, even with my efforts to keep it going). It's currently got a 350 out of a '70 Monte Carlo in it, stock heads and compression ratio, but with an Edelbrock 4-barrel and dual plane intake plus a Lunati Voodoo cam set up for torque down low so it's got some grunt for in town but will still push you back in the seat a bit on the highway when you step on it. It's got dual exhaust and a set of FlowMasters on it, too, so it sounds good. The interior is done, it's got all new poly suspension bushings, a coil clipped off the rear to drop it 2" from stock, tubular front suspension with 2" drop spindles and a coil clipped for a 4" drop there, disk brakes on the fronts, and has been converted from the original single reservoir manual MC to a dual reservoir MC power brake setup. New rear quarters are in the garage, waiting to be welded in, and for now, it sports a rattle-can paint job just to try and keep the rust at bay.
I also just finished installing a RetroSound Model Two radio and a set of Cerwin-Vega speakers so I can have some tunes while out cruising. I need to drop in a second set of speakers and a subwoofer to really finish out the sound system, though.

Picked this one up, yesterday, for the wife. Just maybe, she'll let me borrow it, once in a while.

Ordered it the first week of August.....2016 Chevy Colorado, Z71 (off road edition), long box.
Winelover
That's a great blue!
It's called Laser Blue....when we went to order it, the wife couldn't decide which color she wanted. She was going to settle on silver until they pulled a 2015 blue one into the showroom, as we were writing the order. Last year, we would drive to dealers (within 60 mile radius) looking for different colors.....never came across Laser Blue. Funny how things, work out.
