Im 6'4". no lotus for me.
This was my "best" ride, but he's gone now, he was 26 when he passed...http://castboolits.gunloads.com/imag...5e03d16238.jpg
This guy is my "replacement", got him as a four year old, ( he just turned nine) and he's coming along nicely. He's a little bigger than what I prefer, (I'm a bit over 6' so you can see he's pretty tall, and weighs an easy 1300) but a great attitude..

Teddy Roosevelt said it best: "Theres something about the outside of a horse thats good for the inside of a man."
Yep, the Lotus will never win any accolades for being comfortable; it is really just a street legal race car. I've never done any straight line timing events so I don't know its 0-60 or 1/4 mile times, not that it is lightning fast anyways. It is made to handle the curves. I have taken it to the track (road course) a number of times and it is just a riot. I rarely commute in it - it is mostly for the moutains and track days. Needless to say, I don't use it to go shooting, no where to put any guns or ammo :)
The 3 liter twins..........24 valve DOHC 6 and 5 cylinder turbo diesel.
Herb,
I like the color of your 123![smilie=w:

Thought you might, it's a 2 owner car...........had it since 89, only 105K on the clock, about as close to mint as you'll find. The other one's a little more fun when you punch the throttle!
How about a ride in this redneck limo?
Here's my baby
My 64 1/2 Mustang. My diamond in the rough.

Old Faithfull, my 95 Z71. This has been the best truck I have owned thus far. 146,000 miles, original motor and trans, when I broke the 10 bolt rear the third time it went in the trash and the truck got the light duty 3/4 ton diff (because it still has 6 lug axles). It has bigger axles, ring/pinion, housing, brakes etc. ten bolts are barely strong enough for the stock 31" tires much less 35's and an agressive posi-traction. It's not the fastest but I don't have to worry about getting where i'm going.
Both of these pics were taken at the same place, the rear tire in the second pic a actually stuffed up in the wheel well far enough that it rubbed the paint off the inside.

Well here's another one for the bike guys. Probably not what most of the crowd here is into but I love it.
2004 Suzuki Hayabusa, turbo charged, intercooled, dyno'd at 470 HP. It truly is the bike I always dreamed of owning.

holy **** thats fast. Makes the cops feel privileged when you actually pull over, not like you really have to.
My daily driver sitting at elk camp.....gotta love it

Sitting on new 35" Yokohama AT's....it goes anywhere I want it to, I keep thinking I want to put a muffler on it because it wakes the wife up when I fire it up to head to work at 530....I guess you get that with dual exhaust and glass packs though.

Here's another bike. The picture old but it still looks like this.
It's been in the weeds for 5 years,
part of the antiqueing process,
another five years and it should be ready to go

My Ride on nice day's...
what the heck is that?
It's a Victory Touring bike. I think.
Thats a Victory I think its a cross country minus the trunk?
My rides,. A 1991 Suzuki GSXR 1100, and a 1965 Chevy step side truck.
I ride the motorcycle on the weekends, when it isn't raining.
Rest of the time it's truck season.
Both have carburetors, not fuel injection. That way I can still work on em.

Cool bike. But a really cool truck.
A recent issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine contained an article about the 60-66 Chevy trucks. The article indicated that those years pick-up's are commanding respectable prices on the collector market.
Very nice.

Hot doggies!
If y'all go back to Post #33 and see that gorgeous, svelte, sexy , streamlined, STYLISH set of olive-drab wheels, you will understand my excitement when I tell you that the Beast is being picked-up in Phoenix AZ this very morning. It will arrive here at its new Nevada home either Tuesday or Wednesday. Make sure you click on the photo to get the full benefit.
This was a pretty huge leap of faith on our part. We bought this rig sight-unseen, based on the excellent photos on Ebay and the impeccable reputation of the seller. You could say that I am VERY CURIOUS to behold the critter in the actual flesh.
This is almost as good as waiting for a new rifle!
All hooked up an ready to head home.
Hmmm....well, the ring mounts are available, and I have all the tooling for loading .50BMG, and I REALLY like the M2HB machine gun....all I'm lacking is about $20,000 to buy it. Maybe next week?
As I write this, the truck transporter is on I-80 and less than 50 miles from home. The rest of this dayshift is going to pass VERY slowly.
1964 Plymouth Fury, 426 Wedge. Recent conversion from four speed to 727 Torqueflite (bad knees). I had a Belvedere in High School, same body & engine. I always wanted that car back, this was the closest I could get to it. Owned this one since 1999.
