I and several of you are responsible for the shortages that lead to higher prices. If I go into a shop needing a pound of powder, I will usually buy as much as they will sell me. Which probably won't get used up for a couple of years.
Us hoarders are to blame. But go ahead and blame bidumb. He needs it.
I don’t use many different powders. So I buy in 8 lb jugs unless they only have 4 lb jugs in stock.
I never expected he shortage to last this long, so I ran out, too, but I've been lucky with finding components here and there locally. Just a week ago on vacation I found CFE223 at Ruffs Guns in Flagstaff for about $33 a pound. Nice little shop, too.
Compared to primer prices( if you can find them) powder at $30-40/lb. is a deal. That will be the new normal and when(and if) primers are commonly available expect $60-75/1000 to be the going rate. Thank God my supplies are sufficient.
