Apologies, I really should read my messages before posting. The gun shoots high with rearsight as low as it goes.

I had that same problem with mine. I moved the front and fine tuned the rear. I also used fingernail polish to make "witness" marks to keep up with how much I was drifting the sights.
Many thanks for reply.
Trouble is I can't shift the front at all.
Any thoughts on using a blowtorch to loosen it?
welcome to the Rossi kit gun club . Ive spent so much time tweaking mine Its like buying a kit and fixing all the problems while rebuilding it.Got rid of the front and rear sights , put a Marbles sports man windage adjustable on the rear and a fire sight front ,much better now .
Thanks, but how to remove a front sight that just will not move?
Use penetrating oil on the front sight. Heating it with a hair drier will help the oil wick under the sight. This has worked for me.

Mine has the barrel band post front. No adjustment. I threw away the factory rear sight and installed a Dockendorff rear salvaged from a Savage 340. I had to dimple the barrel for the elevation lobes on the adjusting wheel. Happy gun! I can hit clay birds at 100 yds (unless they're flying)....Best, Thomas.
Many thanks. Sounds better than blowtorch. I'll try it tonight.
Thanks to all....
Eventually did it.
Many attempts with hairdryer and heat gun, but to no avail. Ended up with mini-blowtorch and penetrating oil plus hammer and brass drift.
Drift bent and sight itself deformed so I had to grind it back into shape. That really was a tough one.
Now I just need a tall sight from someone willing to send it to England without charging over $40 for shipping!
Rear sight I've fixed temporarily with strands of copper wire until I've tried it out on the range this Sunday - weather permitting.
Thanks again.
:) reading this thread it sounds to me like some Rossi rifles need to be put in a tree crotch and given a yank to straighten the bore to get the sights centered :) 6-8" at 25 yards is a bunch to move the sights.
i don't even have the 24" rossi 92 .45colt yet and have already ordered out a marbles rear tang peep sight. :)
