I have 3 H&G, A Lyman mold for muzzle loader and a old rusty Winchester mold.
Hal
I have a small business making bullets in Canada and have about 200 molds, most of the LBT designs for .44, .45, .458, and .501 and .512", prolly about 30 molds for the 45/70, lots for the .45 Colt's and the Casull, prolly another 30 for the .44s, BPCR molds, just about anything! Lot's of .30 cals. including Eagan designs, etc.
Not enough and I doubt I will ever be able to say I have enough.
Lots and they seem to multiply in the dark :)
Mike
My casting "career" began with two objectives:
1.: ....to supply the needs of two active Bullseye competitors (my wife and myself.... I ended -up having cast over 1/4 million .38 wadcutters, plus many thousands of .45 SWCs to boot)
and :
2:.....to maintain enough tooling to allow me an independent supply of ammunition for EVERY firearm we owned (apart from the rimfires of course).
I succeeded in these aims fairly early-on, but NOW, good grief! There must be at least a dozen .30-caliber moulds on hand, and multiples in most of the other calibers as well. Independent? I'd say so, except that sometimes I think this agglomeration owns ME, instead of the other way around....and yes, they do breed in the dark.
I have 11 right now, with 3 on order and eyeing a 4th.
I guess I'm the lonely only guy that had to answer one but it's technically true at the moment.....1 in hand and 2 on back-order. :(
This made me go and count, 32 rifle and pistol molds so I checked 26 - 50. Then got to thinking, round ball and minnie/maxie ball not used in years. Still inline with 26-50 answer.
I'm making about 35 different boolits right now tho some we've stopped shooting since I've gotten molds with different (better) designs.
You guys that have 100+ molds. Have you shot all those boolit designs or are you just mold collectors?
I have 14 or so master caster molds.
Some are different designs for the same caliber but most are different calibers.
I have about 20 handcast molds.
only have four at the moment. only load for 3 calibers.
I checked off 26-50. Certainly I have more than 25, but I don't think I have 50. Pretty sure of that. Heck, I still have 4 or 5 that I haven't even used yet. I keep saying I'm not going to look at the Group Buy section..... Then, I just have to stop & look. Uh oh, I've always wanted a 358-156HP. So, what's one more ?? Mike
Me too. Now you've gone and done it...... :roll:Quote:

Note to self: Remind Bob to accept package and put in his garage when arrives.
I am a shooter not a collector. Thus I have only 80 some moulds at this time. I have had many more in the past as I experiment and try different moulds. If one works I generally keep it but if one doesn't work and I've no real other application for it I don't hesitate to sell it or trade it. I have traded/sold a few off that I now regret doing so..........

I have lots...and more on the way.
I can't wait til Lee get's all their 2 cav molds over to the new block design, I'll be buying lots more then.
