This is really neat.
Nice looking work. There have been a few factory rifles that had laminated stock. I like natural wood and bluing, but have a new Boyds' in laminated blue that I really like.
I would love to have the talent you do for engraving and carving.
Thanks. Never did any carving before. I just said a prayer and went for it. Kind of a learn as you go thing.
One good thing about turning old is you can always use that for an excuse if you mess up [smilie=l:
I do thank you for your nice comments, means a lot.

Outstanding, way to think outside the box. I have to ask, what caliber the rolling block is. Some great workmanship there.
Bob. Buffalo Bob.
As far as I have am so far. Trying to decide if it needs anything more.
Suggestions more than welcomed. Checkering, basket weave etc. what do you think.
Only took me 3 months to get this far.

Maybe a little checkering on the forearm, but not too much. Even a little might take away from the great work you've already done.
Isn't it pretty heavy? I made a butt stock for a break barrel shotgun from hard maple once. Turned out to be very heavy. Ended up boring several holes under the butt plate to lighten it up.
