Part II of Handel's Messiah, specifically the Hallelujah Chorus. Just because.
"I Vow to Thee, My Country" the music of which was taken from the 2nd movement of "Jupiter" from Gustaf Holst's "The Planets." Many Brits consider it to be their unofficial national anthem, like "America the Beautiful" is to Yanks; a couple of Christian hymns such as "O God Beyond All Praising" also use the music, known as "Thaxted," given to the "Jupiter" melody excerpt by composer Holst. "Safe and Sound" by Capital Cities. When my daughter got married we didn't want to do a traditional slow dance to something sappy like "Butterfly Kisses" because that ain't us. We both liked "Safe and Sound" because it's very catchy and I like the trumpet chorus. So we worked out a dance routine mimicing a number of the dance moves in the "Safe and Sound" video. It was a blast, and the reception guests were surprised and and went nuts about it. We got into position for a traditional father/ daughter slow dance, and when the song started we both sprang 90 degrees and started with the moves. I wasn't the least emotional then, but ever since, I'll tear up at the memory if the song's on the radio or streaming. It was such a good time, and halfway through the dance we invited the guests out on the floor and They. Simply. Did. Not. Stop. Dancing. until the very end. The DJ commented that he never had a reception where the people danced continuously like that the entire time.
