The video is a great idea Brian. It will probably cut down on the phone calls & e-mails. I look forward to June for dies.

I would like to second the idea of a video. Sure would help you get started, with some possible false starts. I know I could use some tutelage on the core swage die and the point forming die.

Looking forward to getting my dies and seeing the instructional video too! Sounds like a great idea.
can somebody point me in the direction of how to TAG this thread. I want to get this but have to save my pennies. Sorry I'm new to this forum.
I would get in line, send BT a deposit & get things going. Then send him payment down the road if he is willing. You'll be waiting along time between saving up & then ordering & waiting on the dies. I doubt he really gets caught up to the point he has dies in reserve to fill orders, but BT can answer that.
Are you guys succeeding in removing %100 of the scale from the annealed jackets?
It will be very important that this scale is not pressent when you form the bullets in the point form dies. Continued operation of forming bullets in a point form die with scale on the jackes will lead to the possibility of many potential problems and dimished life span of your dies. I would not recomend even one bullet be formed in any of the dies with this scale pressent. Yes, it has the potential to cause this much concern for me and all my customer's dies.
Just spoke with the Nitride company. Everything looks great with latest shipment of dies. I expect them back Tuesday. Then it's just a matter of me assembling everything and getting them to all you anxious customers.
Good shooting and swage on!
Brian
Brian, ss media, Lemishine & a bit of dish soap brings jackets about as clean as one can get them in 2hrs of tumbling. Thx for the tip on the copper BBs, I like the color change in the jackets.

Perfect! Yep same method I use too. Just want to make sure everyone else is having same success.
BT
I have a smaller Thumbler, 9# bowl I think. I use just 2# of media to do 200-300 jackets. It will do more, that was all I did to start. A tbs of copper BBs changes the color to the jackets on the right. I am so ready to start final forming & get some of my own bullets shot. I am swaging for my AR but my buddy has a very accurate Savage F that I want to put some thru to see the bullets true potential.
Finally! The event we have all been waiting for! My second shipment of dies has arrived back from Nitride processing. This includes the long awaited point form dies needed to complete the 22 cal orders, 40 of them anyway. Also includes several derim dies that I was waiting on for many of the new customers first shipments.
Boy, the dies look great too. Can't thank you all enough for your patience and support. I am now working on assembling these dies to get them to you all as soon as possible. I still need to machine the base punches and a few internal punches in the various dies but orders will be shipping soon.
What a stress relief, to have 130 of these very important dies in transit at the hands of the UPS drivers...... I'm glad to have them back in my control.
Brian
I just today tried the lee 4# pot to anneal about 100 of the derimmed 22lr. They're tumbling in Walnut now after an hour in the STM and Lemishine with Dawn. I am so ready to finish up my first .224 bullets(or is it modified boolits?) I even ordered a cannelure tool from Brian for the 40 to 45 acp and think I'll try gently rolling one on my .224 bullets. Now I just have to wait for my new press from U.P.North. Wife got it for me for anniversary/Birthday/Father's day. Think I lost out somehow there but the press will be coming so all is good..........

Those look awesome!!!!
Thanks,
I'm sure looks are not everything and it is the end result that really matters but you can bet if I take this much time and effort to make them look this good the bullets better darn well be perfect.
Here is another pic just so we don't forget the end results :)

Any one can answer this, but does BT send a PM when he ships your order or is it a surprise on you door step? I'm wondering if I was lucky enough to be in this batch of one step dies.
WOW! Swaging porn! The dies and J-word bullets look great.
Mine, All Mine.........................................heheh e
