Kimber K6 Target. Got a 160 gr. 358432 from a poster here last week and have some bullets cast. Oxblood died pancake holster from Simply Rugged came in as well.

Wards Westernfield 14M bolt action, tube fed .22 rimfire. In darn nice condition also. In real life it's a Mossberg 46B

A Marlin 27S from 1911 or 1912 beckoned, "BUY ME!!!" and I could not say "no". The furniture is like new, considering it to be an over one century old firearm. The barrel does look "shot", but not (I hope!) shot out. While I have dies, a mould, and gas checks -- I today received some brass from another member on this site; need to size/lub some Lyman 257420 cast bullets.... and hopefully load/shoot a few. :) :) :)
Here's what she looks like:

I just picked up a Smith & Wesson mod 519. Used police trade in from Guns.com. I'm not a big 9mm guy, but I thought the price was right considering the current market. Less than a lot of plastic pistols are going for these days. I was very pleased when it showed up. Minimal holster wear, and looks to have been fired very little. Came with 3 15rd mags, and it has been fitted with Trijicon night sights. That was a nice unexpected bonus. I have a Desantis holster, a mag pouch, and a case of Tula 115 gr. on order.

Another hip pocket gun; a S&W Shield9 2.0 with thumb safety because I like them.

My most recent firearm purchase was a National ordinance 1903a3 in 30.06 ,I shot it a few times but after reading warnings online about potential kaboom I think it's just gonna be mostly for looks for now on.
Savage 110 in .243. Intent is a winter project for the local varmint match.
Bought it for the action, it was cheeep because the stock had been cut down to a 10" length of pull. It's a shame because this is an older walnut stocked rifle and the stock is a decent looking piece of wood.
Or at least what is left of the stock.
Now to choose a stock. Real walnut? Laminate? No, it won't be plastic. Style?
Then caliber. Stick with .243? I've got all the fixin's for .243. That's the no brainer, except for length, twist, contour, material and barrel maker. Well almost no brainer.
Or change to a more appropriate accuracy caliber. Not like there's only 2 or 3 choices there. Odds are it will only be single loaded at the bench so feeding isn't a problem.
And if I want an exotic/accuracy caliber the Remington 700 in .243 that's a smooth bore for the first couple of inches is a potential candidate. That one already has a nice stable laminated stock and a Jewel trigger.
Buying an old gun isn't supposed to be this complicated.
Found it today - A model 3200 trap gun, made in 1982 (next to last year of production - essentially new in box - no evidence of having been fired. Arguing over the price as we speak. Probably lose the price argument but am going to buy it anyway.
Husqvarna 1640 in 6.5 X 55 Swede. Missed one a few years ago when they were less than $500....you know, "you snooze you lose." Two popped up on Simpson's and I didn't snooze this time, I bought the better of the two...and it wasn't less than $500.....:(
Sauer 100 8x57 and M91 carcano carbine
Whoops, I did it again. A .40 this time- looks like November was Shield month!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...426a5becf9.jpg

CV Along range 45 caliber Muzzle Loader
A couple of rollers, a sported French Lebel and a Carl Gustaf missing a part or two.
I would remove the action from the stock and check the condition of the metal below the stock line. Browning purchased a process from Morton Salt to speed up the stock drying process. A good idea in theory but all the salt was not removed from the wood which caused an accelerated corrosion reaction. They are usually referred to as "salt guns" and were made during the time period you mentioned. Browning replaced a lot of firearms that were affected, but you had to be the original owner. Hopefully you got a good one.
I just finished building a BRN22 with an 18 inch heavy tapered KSA barrel.
Last complete gun was a Ruger American 17 Hmr rifle.

1873 Winchester model from cimarron in 45 colt. Looking for a 1886 in 45-70 or 45-90 with a 26 inch barrel but its a unicorn apparently.
At a recent gun show I spied a (NIB) ratty 5" SS 9mm Colt with box, 2 mags, papers and all. I bought it, and dumped the 9mm barrel and installed the super barrel I saved from the one I sold in the 80's.
Gads, I REALLY am having a ball with this oldie.
Last Saturday was in a local store, they normally have hundreds of guns, not so anymore. People were lined up buying guns. They may not have had the hundreds they normally have but they did have a nice Uberti 1874 Sharps in 45-70 and that bad boy followed me home.
Have considered turning it into 45-90 but there are zero brass available and I have all the fixings’ for 45-70. Can’t wait to light it off! First new gun I’ve bought in several years.
This time last year they had about a dozen guns and they were all used. I live in northern Michigan and if the city folk think this country isn’t armed to the teeth they are wrong, I had to take a hockey puck thing and wait for the five people ahead of me to do their electronic 4473’s….
Round count 500 7.62x51 = $550, 1000 5.56x45 was $750….made me sick. Zero powder, no primers, and little ammo. Sure glad I saw this coming 20 years ago!
Oh yeah, wife was with me so we also bought a Henry 22 youth model for my grandson. LORD I love that girl!
Just got an old rolling block, produced around 1869. It's got the long lower tang. Somewhere in it's life it got a Leige proofed 43 Spanish barrel with sharp clean rifling. Been restocked & wood looks almost new. Should be a good shooter & didn't break the bank.
