This is what I've been using for almost 7 years now. That is PVC. I do have to tap the puck out but it isn't that hard to get to release, but it is only 1/4" to 3/8" thick. It isn't as dense as Swiss but more than Goex. It gives me everything I need velocity wise.
Make some powder and play with it and you will figure it out. You really don't need to over think the process. Start simple and work your way up to the heavy duty stuff. For a front stuffer it really doesn't make a lot of difference, load by weight not volume.
