It's pretty simple.
There are 3 'spiritual' methods. #1 you are born, live life and die. PERIOD.
#2 You are born, live by the rules, die and IF you obeyed ALL the rules you get to 'live' with the gods. You get to do what is against the 'rules'. And the 'rules' vary, depending on who wrote them. None of them speak of a place for those who don't 'make it'.
#3 Christianity Salvation - depends on YOU accepting there is but one God who runs everything, sent His Son to take YOUR punishment for YOUR sin. Those who don't accept Jesus are sent to a very bad place.
Choose wisely.

#4 - You are accountable for your sins. You reap what you sow. (Karma)
If you do not settle up in this life you are reincarnated and come back again and again until you are ready to proceed into the Spiritual realms with God.
No one goes to hell for eternity.
"Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.'"

Luke 16:19-31 ESV
“There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. ...
Jude 1:7 ESV
Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 21:8 ESV
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Revelation 20:15 ESV
And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
It seems a lot of people ignore that the human soul/spirit of everyone is immortal, only the body dies and even the lost will be physically resurrected in eternity. The only long time difference between the lost and saved is where each group will spend their eternity; living conditions in God's heaven will be considerably better than Satan's lake of fire hell.
