Ajay:
I see in your post #173 that you now have non discarding sabot for 12 ga. Are these intended for smoothbore or rifled gun? If for smoothbore, do you have load info for 2 3/4"?
Then of course the next question is do you have an FFL so you can ship to Canada?
I know, too many questions!
I am interested in solid slugs with attached wad (or non discarding sabot) for smoothbore guns.
Thanks,
Longbow

Best news I have read all week. I believe you will be blessed and we will be rewarded for all your hard work.
Ajay:
Those look terrific!
What ball size for 12 ga.? Or is there a choice? (variety is always nice!).
I just got a new 0.678" ball mould and cast up about 200 this morning. Now to load and shoot.
I will be interested to see you new RB wads for sure!

You have a very ambitious project going and I wish you all the best and I intend to support you when you are all ready to go. Thank you very much. I shoot my first deer this year with a Hornady SST and I was really impressed by the potential of a sabot shotgun round. My friend was hunting with me and took a buck at 174 yards with his SST. I want to build my own so I can tailor it to my shotgun and not pay 4 dollars every time I pull the trigger. It sure is hard to do range practice at that price.
I wish you the greatest of luck in your endeavor, and with all of the work you are putting into it, you should see success.

Ajay,
How much are your round all sabots going for if you are producing them yet.
What yardages were those shot at about those look very good to me.
nice!
I've got a rifled 12G myself but the kid just has the smooth bore. I'm impatiently waiting!
I guess I need the .600 lee round ball for his smooth bore and have you picked the best mold for the rifled barrels yet and your wads?
these are looking AWESOME!
Yes, Ajay, I think you have it right with 0.690" RB if you want to be able to use Lee moulds.
Lyman makes 0.715" and 0.735" as well. Not sure about others. A bigger ball like 0.735" would be nice for a 10 ga. but limited mould options. I suppose if you are going for velocity by using 0.600" in 12 ga. then 0.690" would be about the same for 10 ga. ~ a lighter high velocity projectile.
Now, please explain ~ do the balls snap into these so they stay attached or do they drop off when the ball leaves the muzzle? If they stay attached these could be very interesting! I really like round ball casting and shooting.

Now you got me excited! I like the attached wad idea.
I hope these are available in Canada once you get into production. If not I may have to come to visit. Do you have a spare room?:)
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to bring any back with me.

Looking good. Thanks for the update
Looking good Ajay. I recieved some of the OLD BLS sabots in a trade for unneeded brass. So far, light loads have been okay, but I can't wait to see these sabots enter production. Hopefully, full power loads are just around the corner. BTW, what hulls are you planning to recommend for the 12 ga sabot? I have been stockpiling all of the empties I can find.
