Cast Bullet Engineering ----downunder ---makes a 220grain gascheck mold specifically for the 375 BB - with present exchange rates it would be very ecnomical price and likely better delivery time than US manufacturersQuote:

How about the Lee 250? It would probably take a gas check just fine.
I've shot a good number of hogs and goats with the old Lyman 375449, 264 grain boolet out of my BB94 in 375 Win.
I know it's not the 200/220 bullet your looking for but I use an RCBS 37-255 FN Can't ask for anything better IMHO GW
I have a Win. 94 (top eject) in 375 Win. and wanted to throw cast boolits through it. The only molds I had at that time were the Ideal 375248 (255 gr. plain base) and the Ideal 375296 (265 gr GC). The plain base boolits grouped very well together, but the GC slugs scattered like chickens. I sized all of these at .377" and used "starting" powder loads. Perhaps the GC loads were telling me to speed things up but those tests have not happened yet. Am also considering a lighter weight slug from the Accurate stable, at least some day. Watching this thread to hear of others' success stories.
I would think any 250 grain boolit at 1400 fps or so would accomplish almost anything you need to. That's .44 Magnum power level with a higher SD boolit.
If shooting 375 Win and 38-55wcf I opened up a Lyman 375248 so the mould drops a .382" dia boolit that I size to .379 or .381 depending on the groove dia. These boolits weigh in at 245 grs 1 to 10 alloy and are plain base. My friends Winchester 1894 375 has a groove dia of .378 But my old Marlin 1893 in 38-55 wcf has a .330 groove dia. I don't push these cast boolits any faster than 1600 fps. The old Marlin will shoot a 1" hole at 50 yards from the bench. Have about 60 lbs of surplus WW680 ball powder. Hope never to run out shooting 22 ~ 28 grs. per cartridge depending if I am loading for 375 Win or 38-55 wcf. Hope to cast up some 1 to 20 alloy boolits for bangin Bambi this fall.
You size a .332 boolit to .379 or .381? And your Marlin has a .330 groove diameter? Am I missing something here?

Graduated to a 38/55 that I shoot blackpowder and the LEE 250 grain --good boolit, good gun - that combo is scary accurate
Fergi: Thanks for the correction. I opened up a Lyman 375248 to .382" so I could use the 245 gr boolit in both a 375 Win and 38-55wcf

Here are my versions of "best" for the 375 Win. The left cartridge in each photo is a 375 Win case loaded with Accurate #38-220AG. The nose is tapered to match the rifling leade, as shown by the engraved bullet in the second photo. This fully supported bullet fit is very accurate in my T/C Encore and Contender, and in a Custom Marlin 336 built and chambered in 375 Winchester by David Clements.
My factory Winchester 94 XTR and Marlin 336 in "375 Winchester" are actually 38-55s and they shoot best with the right cartridge, pun intended.
For them, I designed Accurate #38-200AG. The chambers of these two fit the 2.125" Starline 38-55 brass, and the rifling leade begins about .2" further from the bolt face than the true 375 guns. The long front driving band on this design extends to the end of the freebore where the fit gets tight. It's hard to see in the second photo, but this bullet shows a bit of abrasion on the front band from being chambered. That's the closest fit possible, since a nose long enough to engage the rifling leade would be too long to chamber. This one is also very accurate.
You can see in the second photo that the crimp was disturbed by extraction. At this loaded length, they are a tight fit for top accuracy.
I should have mentioned that my Thompson-Center barrels are from Match Grade Machine. I can't vouch for other TC barrel makers' chambers.
They should, all my Lee molds will take a regular gas check no problem. Try it out and see.Quote:

I got me the NOE 235 for Christmas, I hadn't had a chance to cast with yet . I believe it's a Ranch Dog copy , I've been using the Lee 250 sized to .279 over 24gr of IMR4198 . 38-55 Data seems to do better with the Lee . I'll post some results when I can make to the range , I believe that 235 with do better in my Big Bore 94. FYI , I believe NOE still has those in stock .
