Anyone using a triangle reticle?

Anyone using a triangle reticle or an inverted V reticle?
Looks like it might be useful but I have no experience.

Can't really help you. I'd like a little more info on that myself. I want to put a trijicon accupoint on a ruger scout rifle instead of a scout scope.

Been using the triangle reticle on Trijicon's Accupoint conventional scope since they first came out, sometime in the 80's. Have a 3x9 and a 1.25x4 on my hunting rifles. Besides drawing your eye to the reticle, it's also lighted. For extreme accuracy, you use the tip of the triangle for the aiming point. For close up work, you can use the whole triangle.

Trijicon have since offered the triangle reticle in their reflex lines of sights. I went with those, rather than the larger dots, that seem to be popular...............though not my cup of tea. I prefer 2 MOA dots or less. At one time they offered a chevron or sort of a double triangle reticle. I have one of those also, for my AR-10 carbine.

I had a Romanian PSL with the side mount scope. It had a chevron center and too many other busy bits for me if I remember right. A regular crosshair is what I'm used to after all these years.

Trijicon Accupoint illuminated (no batteries) reticles are available with either a red or amber triangle - the illumination can be turned on/off as desired

I've been using the Trijicon Chevron reticle ever since they came out. Like it.

My delta point has a triangle. Up close I use the whole thing. Further out I use the tip as illustrated by pietro

Couple of years ago, I sent the reflex with chevron reticle, back to Trijicon for re-lamping. They could not re-lamp it. They sent me a brand new one, with the standard triangle, no charge. The also returned the one with the chevron..............still works in daylight but not in the dark. Thankfully, they were able to relamp and even older one with the Special Forces 1MOA dot. They don't offer a one minute dot, anymore.

It can take some getting used to. But I also very much like the Chevron "dot". It can be used a number of ways and is a dandy once you try it.

I've got two Trijicons with amber triangles. The forward mounted reflex sight on an AR is like a CQB site close and the tip of the triangle for distance. Works well.

Had a cheap reflex with the triangle, preferred the circle. Triangle did work well. Had a seeall with triangle, works but never was good with it. Seems slow to acquire POA on target. Missed a hog @ 50 trying to use the tip of triangle, just not fast enough acquisition.

I don't like a triangle. I especially hate busy reticles like the one in post #3. I do fine with a plain jane duplex, but my all time favorite is the circle plex. Leupold calls it the turkey plex.
