Has anyone here built a Martini Cadet in 5.6x50R? Just wondering as I have a couple Cadets staring me down, and a few boxes of RWS factory 5.6x50R ammunition loafing on the shelf....

Case too long to go around the corner.
It should work, I have a cadet in 32 40 Winchester that loads and ejects just fine. I don't know about the pressure.
I've seen a custom built using a thick walled BSA target frame and a Cadet internals.
I see no problems with that combination. ;)

no problem in my small frame thick wall ,just make sure the firing pin is bushed to a smaller size to avoid primer flow and locking up the action .
Other wise no issue with extraction or ejection
Let me know if you get this going. I have four or five boxes of RWS unprimed brass that was to be used for .270 VJR and .300 VJR. The .257 VJ I have, in rifle form, uses .222 Rem Mag. So I can form those out of .204 Ruger brass.
I have a 225 Win Mag and a 222R and two 357 Super Mag Cadets. The secret is case taper or rifle bullets, to make the curve. If an empty case will eject, it will “make the curve” with a proper bullet design. The 225 works just fine.
This is the 357 SM / 225 WM switch barrel gun.
