I dont know if it WHALLOPS THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF EVERY WESTERN WE HAVE EVER SEEN....but it is right up there with the Shootist, High Noon, Lonesome Dove, Open Range....IMHO....
He used a small coal shovel.....great movie
A touching read is Maureen`s Bio about the final days of when the Duke was alive.Robert
The old indian said, "Hey Mclintock, long time we no get drunk together!"
Watched it again last night - "and somebody oughta belt you in the mouth, but I won't, I won't...
The heII I won't!!"
Chill Wills - "A divorce! Is that where you pay a woman not to live with ya anymore?"
John Wayne - "That's about the size of it."
Chill Wills - "Some women I've know'd it'd be worth it..."

Well Mos I looked it up once and it ain't polite probably best ya don't know.
Great movie... watched it a couple weeks ago. Back when actors could "act" instead of stand up and recite a line.
Maureen O'Hara caused my lifelong obsession with red headed women.
