Has anyone used a Manson Throat Reamer to ream out the throats on their 45 colts? How hard was it and was it worth the cash outlay? Ive got 3 that need reaming. I guess I could just send them off to cylinder smith but Ive had bad luck with mailing gun parts in the past.
Renting could be an option. I think reamerrentals.com has them.
Just bought a .44 Manson throat reamer from this forum...
Very easy to use, mine came with the "pilot pack" and it worked out well...left good looking, uniform .431 throats.
Been COLD outside and haven't got to try it out, but since I needed to use the .4280 pilot on 2 throats (.429 bore) I think it'll shoot Boolits much better without leading..
I've got a couple more to do after testing this one.......
This is a very simple process. I have purchased reamers to throat all the revolvers that my brothers, Dad and I own. Take a look at this ---> video <--- for a pretty good idea what you have in store.

I have several Manson Reamers Largest .50/110 , all from Brownell's No complaints .
