I was taking cbd oil for awhile. Helps with sleeping but that was about it for me. I had hoped for more with my neck and back. For my knees, after I had an MRI and they said arthritis and to basically deal with it, I started taking Collagen types 1,2, and 3. Get them in pill format from almost anywhere. I was taking just Glucosamine/Chondroitin by itself but wasn't helping. My Uncle told me about the collagen and within a few weeks made a huge difference IN ME. Hopefully you could get the same relief. Good luck.

My 77 year old father said it helps his arthritic hands, and my girlfriend's mother said it helps her knees.
I gave it to a 13yr old great dane/lab mix for the last four years of his life and he remained mobile up until the cancer got him. He lived three years longer than he should have and was in remarkably good shape.
I've heard nothing but good things about it, but no personal use or brands to recommend.
I use the cream version on my bad knee( getting replaced soon) hands and neck/ upper back. Works great, rub in on and in few minutes pain is gone.
I have no experience with that oil but you can talk to your Doc about Pennsaid and get a prescription.
I know nothing about why or how cbd works, just know it does for us. My wife does the research and has a case of 30+ vials. One we got recently that we use with a diffuser for sleeping. Makes a big difference for us. She has one that helps with joint pain. YMMV, CR
I tried it on my knees and shoulder...didn't do ****
I got some MedTerra CBD topical cream samples at a trade show last year and the 750mg works wonders on my knee with torn cartilage. The 150mg tube I bought recently also works very well but not quite as well as the 750mg version.
I’ve also used it on my back with a herniated disc and it helps there too.
I take CBD oil to help with my Psoriatic Arthritis. It provides a bit of relief and flexibility to my hands. I haven’t noticed any real difference to my knees or ankles.
Pennsaid did nothing for me.
Everyone is different. There isn’t a lot of downside to trying it.
I get Euflexxa shots in my knees. With untrasound guiding the doc to put it in. It works great.
Have the pills to our dog for 3 months and they didn't seem to do anything. I knowing has no the but I won't take a chance on it because of my CDL
I take it for my back, hips and knees it really cut the pain back to being able to tolerate it.
Definitely sleep better at nights don't know if its because the rest of me don't hurt so bad or CBD.
I have a CDL also but if you are taking straight CBD oil with no or minimal THC you should never test positive.
I did a ton of asking questions and reading information on the subject.
Hopefully I get a few years out of it before it fails me!!
Removed as went to wrong thread.
I tired it for a while, didn't help.
Not to rain on your question, however, there has been a documented placebo effect of 50% on most drugs.

CBD did not work for my 12 year old Jack Russell terrier. Denosyl 225 did! Ollie feels a lot better and is bouncy and fast moving again. My wife says SamE is the Denosyl equivalent for people, but the dosage for people is more.
Denosyl was prescribed for Ollie for liver, but it is also used for arthritis.
I use CBD oil, it works for me.
CBD is a known anti-inflammatory, if the pain in your knees is due to inflammation, it will likely help.
My initial experience with CBD and severe knee pain was this.
I started taking CBD at near the max recommended dose (20 mg once per day) for inflammatory pain. It took about two weeks for anything noticeable to happen...but it did release the pain. I then dialed back the dosage to half. Then after a few months, one of my friends who uses it, said they just use a drop at a time, twice a day for maintenance...A drop of the concentration I buy is about 1mg. That 1 drop does the job for me as maintenance.
Side effects are I sleep better and I have a more leveled temperament, meaning I'm not easily agitated or aggravated.
THIS IS A REAL ISSUE. Be very careful with anything that MIGHT contain MJ..... Drug tests CAN pick this up and cause you issues. My daughter is a application specialist for one of the top trucking companies in the US. And MJ causes a lot of issues. They do test Hair also (in most states) and it comes up a LOT. Way more than I would have thought. CBD in all forms CAN pop up as MJ use even thought it's packaged as THC free. There really isn't a standard on the THC content.
If you drive professionally, just don't...
I've been a skeptical old fart since I was in my teens. I never believed in snake oil or CBD oil.
A couple of years ago my chronic pain took a step up. I didn't want to increase my opiate dose and my wife TOLD me to try some CBD. I did some research and found a company that was highly rated and also gives a really nice, 40% at the time now 60%, discount to Veterans, disabled, and low income people.
I ordered a bottle. I had been using a heating pad on my lower back while sitting for over six years. The last day I used that heating pad was the first day I started the CBD oil.

I take the oil twice a day. My wife wanted some balm, I didn't think it would work, but I ordered it for her. The balm works for us.
Do the research on CBD. Many brands contain little to no CBD. Others that claim to be THC free aren't. Go with a company that provides certified test results on each batch. The company I linked to has those test results on each product page. I have a few dozen acquaintances that have started using CBD from Lazarus. All have had really good results.

I used it about a month ago, and it did help some pain. Then my doctor decided I needed an MRI. Found out the previous doctor I had several years ago had misdiagnosed me, and he had put me through physical therapy treatment that was sheer torture. I was nearly immobile the past three years. Now I can walk again, and the pain is pretty much gone. I guess that has nothing to do with the oil, I'm just so happy to be mobile again!
