You see alot of cool stuff made out of spent casing in Iraq as well. Most are pretty simple,, but some get really elaborate airplanes and tanks and stuff built out of them (must be made in a shope somewhere or something). Just goes to show that people will use what they have to make a good living.

After WWII, there were many inovative things done with spent casings. One of the ones that I got to use was a backpack herbicide sprayer that used anti-aircraft shell casings as the pump piston. That was before the age of pastic and those metal sprayers lasted forever and was rebuildable. None of this disposable stuff you see today...
