Who would have thunk it?
I was nosing around in some old boxes of reloading stuff to see if I could find something to use making myself a 410 loading outfit similar to the Lee Loader or X Ring. Lo and behold I found not one but two 16 gauge reloading kits that I had forgotten all about. They were purchase years ago and just put back for some reason. One is an older Lee Loader in 16 gauge and the other is a Pioneer. The Pioneer is mostly wood with the only metal part being the pin in the nose of the decapper. I don't know where or when it came into my possession. It would be a very simple job to make one like it in 410 and I might just do that. james

As a woodworker making my own reloading tools sounds like a neat idea, can you post pictures?

An interesting project James.
Just spitballing, but….instead of wood, why not try making them out of plastic rod stock?

dverna, I have to do things the old fashioned hard way; with files, sandpaper, and a hand drill. If I had a lath I would make nearly all my own equipment, but I don't and never will. But I do enjoy just working with my hands and developing patience at the same time. james

Some particularly hard wood like rock maple?
