At one time Ranch Dog had a recommended alloy. As I recall it was 9#'s of WW, something else, and an ounce of chilled shot. What was the "something else"?

Mrs. Thumbcocker shot a hog with a Ranch Dog boolit cast of acww at 2100 or so. Bang flop.

Was it 9 lbs. pure lead 1 lb linotype 1 oz Crown Royal? :)
Wheel weights and pure lead at about half and half with a bit of tin has a broad range of use.
Welcome to Cast Boolits OaheDoug
I have his PDF load notes for .35 REM. They say "Lyman #2 clone."
Hard to go wrong with #2 alloy in 30 cal rifles.
OaheDoug,
welcome to the forum.
I bet if you sat down with Michael, He'd ask you what your application is, before he'd give you a recommended alloy. If there is a long lost post of his, about a recommended alloy recipe, I'm sure there would be context to why that recipe is recommended.
If I was pushing a dip-lubed RD boolit down a Levergun barrel pointed toward a piggy, I would use water-quenched 50-50 COWW/pure lead.
