Just got back a really nice mold with his hollow point bar inset system . Had him modify an RCBS 44-250-K to hollow point for me . Cant wait to cast with it as soon as I recover from this last surgery .

He does do nice work. I just had him do one of mine...I didn't think it was possible to do a HP on a mold running in a Master Caster machine until I saw a youtube video of one running without modifications to the machine... I'll likely get the mold changed out and adjusted today or this weekend.
The man is just plain fantastic . Including putting up with an old fool like me .
Master machinist, no doubt.
BUMP
Erik just refurbished a well used 429421 4 cavity that had screw threads eroded from decades of use. Also resurfaced the sprew plate. Wonderful work.
Am looking at having him modify a brand new 356402 Lyman 2 cavity to a HP design, just can’t figure out a decent guess on weight of the ball. Anybody already have this modification and can give me a number?

I've had him do several and think he is the best. If I wanted the ideal hollow point mold I would find a good casting steel mold in a shape and diameter that suited me that already performed in my gun of choice, then send it to Eric.

Erik put together that 2 cavity HP rig on a brand new Lyman 356402. Runs right at 115 gr with my alloy, and now that I have the Lyman bottom pour pot dialed in for the mould I can run off about 600 in 1.5 hours, maybe 2, it's easy to just keep casting when a mould works this well!
Again, a big shout out THANK YOU to Erik for his expertise in the machine shop!!!
Looking forwards to getting my hands on a project that's inprocess right now.
This Accurate design turned into a wide flat nose (.39 diameter) with an adjustable length plug with interchangeable points.
