Winchester 1895 with a Climbin-Lyman receiver sight. What's it chambered for?
WW
One of my absolute dream rifles.
Oh yes ! An 1895 in 303 British is high on my bucket list.
Are you unaware what you have or is it a guessing game ?
Very nice. From the looks of that fat barrel I would say it is .405 or larger.
I very nice rifle that will get your attention after the trigger is pulled.
If it needs a foster home I would like to offer a good upbringin with side trips to the range weekly.
Yup, Winchester 1895 that appears to be in need of a room mate. I nominate mine, they should play together nicely. :drinks:
There's nothing like a .405 with a steel buttplate.
It's a '95 winchester short rifle in .35. 20" barrel. Lyman #21 peep, folding barrel sight and sporting front sight. Made in 1911. Lived it's entire life in Arizona until recently. According to the family it was bought new and made many trips in a saddle scabbard to Mexico. Only about 39 of these 20" short rifles made.
Nice!
