Anyone have an extra .223 case length gage?
Just buy one from Dillon!
Better yet, buy two!
Dillon, Lee, or???
any brand is fine. I am looking up the Dillon Brass mentioned. I am starting to think I been looking at the wrong thing. The ones I have previously found were like $70.
I have the full set of LEE length/trim gauges for all cals. Got them at Sportsman Whorehouse. Not that expensive at all. About $4 or 5 bucks each. Buy the ones you need.
Handy to have, but the pin can break off easily.

I've found the lee ones to usually be off, maybe the new ones are better. A caliper works good.
I think I may be using the wrong terms. What I am looking for is the tool that check case headspace after resizing. How crucial is this tool?
After sizing.....or before sizing?
From what I understand it is used after resizing to be sure it will chamber correctly.
Lyman makes this device for a reasonable price. It's basically a chunk of steel with a duplicate of the chamber machined into it, with ridges on either end to show min/max headspace and length.
