Today I received an e-mail supposedly from CMP about providing a birthday and address to continuing receiving their e-mails, due to a new CA law. It seems to be real. Are others getting it as well? Scammers can be pretty tricky? Thanks, Tom

No, go to there web sight and check, or better yet, call and ask ??
https://thecmp.org/
Scroll down to find "Contact CMP"
read email - go to bottom of email + click on link [ Update Profile ] to make sure that your current address is there , fill out form + send -
If you are in Nebraska why would you care about a new California law? I agree, contact CMP and ask them directly.
I would not supply any Info like that Over the Internet unless supplied in writing Via mail on Letterheads
I just received an additional e mail from CMP.They made a mistake. They don't need the additional info.
I received the same 2 emails here in Illinois, seems like a scam to me.
ACC; The CMP stands for The "Civilian Markmanship Program." They offer surplus military type firearms to qualified people.
Scam
Not a scam. Look under military rifle section. Civilian marksmanship program did send out in order to provide Your Info to California... do NOT complete. And those of you that have bought from them need to call and complain LOUDLY
