You would think she would also know the cooperate policy on suspected straw purchases. Interest in how the story stands up after cwtebay runs this by the manager.

People are people and lots of folks start with max loads back then. Same as they do today. I've kept every manual I've owned since 1968. Most manuals have some questionable data in them. That would be why most manuals have a long and...

Purchased in the S&S forum last week. Decades ago I had the .38 version as Lyman 35893/358093 125 gr. I hope this .44 version drops .431" at least... Tomorrow I'll clean it and begin. Food for the Ruger Flattop .44 Special.

It depends what gun I am shooting. My Ruger LCP 380 is shot at 21 feet to 50 feet. My XP-100's are shot out to 500 yards. My bullseye guns are preferred at 50 yards but if 25 yard is all that is available that is what they are shot at.

Not sure as to the why but they did use multiple primers sizes during that time frame. Had some GI 1940's era 45 ACP that used different sized than standard primers. I believe the groove is RA's method of crimping. ...

Haven't seen it done since the mid 70's but taping a marble or ball bearing on the primer and throwing it down on a hard surface would set it off. The shot normally stayed in the case and base would split open or the shot would basically stay put...
