I don't own a Texan but I did used own a Samyang in 45 caliber that shot the 200 grain Lyman Devastators real well. At the time I was looking into buying a big bore the big bore Texan had not come out yet. HollowPoint

I finally got a chance to conduct some informal accuracy tests firing the pellets from the two separate batches of pellets I recently cast using my 3D printed 22 caliber pellet molds. The tests went as one might expect from home made airgun...

I know I'm a few months late to this party but I thought I'd post a couple of pics anyway of some of the things I've managed to print after upgrading from my Creator Pro filament printer to an Epax X1 resin printer. The photo of the printer is a...

I know I stated in my "Teaser-Post" that I'd save my still photographs till last but, at the suggestion of one of our other members I ended up just uploading all my short video clips to my YouTube account to avoid that loss of the audio I...

I did it! After three previous failed attempts at casting my own Airgun Pellets with my 3D printed Pellet molds I finally figured it out. I'm posting this preemptive teaser post to let those who have been following this project know that I'll...

I'm afraid I've inadvertently hijacked an otherwise very interesting original post so I'll stop after this reply. I took some measurements of a 22 rimfire case that I'd initially thought I could use for such a project and I found that it was way...

You're right about the hot melt glue thing. I've actually done that. I cast some with my 22 caliber mold so I could shoot them out of my break barrel air gun; just to see if they'd shoot. They did shoot but there was no accuracy to speak of. ...

I think a guy could get away with printing both the bullets and the cases of a specific cartridge and just make it a Primer-Firing-Only type of setup. The bullets could be printed as one would expect but the case would have to be printed with...

Several years back I bought a used laptop from a retiring engineer. It wasn't that old of a laptop at the time but it is now. Anyhow, that laptop still had version 10 of the SolidWorks CAD software on it. It took a while to figure it out but...

A logical suggestion but, this is a budget project and I'm afraid my budget is not big enough to pay someone to 3D printed and sinter such a mold; although that would most likely bring about a very durable mold. My focus has been to model and print...

Does anyone know where I can get the schematics for one of the newer slug-type of .22 caliber projectiles? Once I get this present Pellet Mold design working the way I want it too I'd like to try to print another .22 caliber mold with the smooth...

The resin I'm printing with is made to withstand 420-460 degrees. Common sense would have us believe that even at this temperature resistance it would still have an adverse effect on this resin. This particular 3D print resin has porcelain as...

HollowPoint replied to a thread Gas Checks on Airguns? in AirGuns
Has anyone simply sized down a jacketed bullet to accommodate the bore of one of the big-bore air guns and tried shooting that? In my mind's eye I can see possibly sizing down a 200 grain 45 caliber jacketed hollow point just to see what kind of...

All my stars aligned and I finally got around to doing test cast number two with my 3D printed pellet molds. Always being in to much of a hurry I managed to go about this casting session all wrong. What I mean by this it that I didn't apply...

Biography:
I joined as a semi-newbie. Now I've been here long enough to consider myself knowledgeable about bullet casting.

With the help of some of the more experienced bullet casters on this site, I've developed some tools and bullets for my own personal use. Among them are a Soft-Pointing tool, Boat-Tailed Gas Checks and dies, Air Gun Pellet Swager, Match-Grade Air gun Trigger, K31 scope mounts and a few other things I've posted about.

The learning never ends and the ideas keep coming. Unfortunately for me, there isn't enough time in the day to tackle them all.
