Years back I drilled a hole in a large rock -- maybe 6' tall and just as wide. I had dug around it with backhoe, as other boulders, in attempt to move or bury it -- it was about one foot above grade -- and had idea of using black powder to...

For what it is worth, I'm a bit OCD, and spray my mould first with G96. I used to store them long-time with a cast bullet in each cavity, but too many sages (bion, I do "listen" on (rare ;)) occasion) suggested this being of no benefit. I then put...

Some folks go to Los Vegas; some drive their vehicles like maniacs; some (sorry here) even get married -- ALL a "gamble" As is, even, buying factory ammunition and walking outdoors where, say, a rivet came off a jet plane flying at 32,000 feet and...

Thank you, James (TNsailorman) for correcting my vision-goof. Those 74-year old peepers plus an el cheapo monitor may be my (lame -- sorry) excuses for seeing the number 8 as the letter S. Again, my sincere apologies to Kevinakaq for my not...

Regardless of its history ("if rifles could talk...") you have purchased a really gorgeous firearm! If I read the price tag correctly -- $1,300.00 USD -- you paid more than a fair price for it. I recently ('bout a year back) saw a listing of a...

I had, and gave away about 40 years back an Oehler -- do not recall the model number -- which used vacuum tubes with little lit dots at each tube's top. The fellows at range called them "Nixie Tubes." One shot through two spaced pieces of paper...

TWO notes re unsolicited calls: 1st, an article a short time back in the N Y Times kind of opened my eyes to the calls we'd get with our area code and a local NNX appearing, to -- when picked up -- there'd be nothing at caller's end. Huh? It...

I acquired a garage sale mould years back with similar gouging. Bion (actually, easy for me :)) I made it worse! "How?" By not being smart enough to maintain perfect planeness and keeping all square. I ended up with a relatively flat end result,...

It's probably a tapered based for seating. That's an awfully long boolit for muzzle seating.

Nice mould, and thanks for the pic! I will go with Mark and Bad Ass on this also, and probably has several applications for old M\L and early cartridge rounds. Nice find! Jeff

I have several chronies. My "best" all-around is the Oehler 35P -- but (primarily due to a bum leg) -- it seems to be a "pain" to set up for a short/quick range trip. I bought the Labrador which functions well for these. I also have a PACT --...

The 450 prefix was used for the .44 Cal. Black Powder pistol boolits, though Lyman was known to cross over numbers from Ideal and use the prefix for something else. The .451 Self Loading Rifle perhaps, but without a pic we will never know for sure.
